STATEMENT BY THE PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA ON THE ELECTION IN SRI LANKA
Posted on January 9th, 2015

The White House Office of the Press Secretary

On behalf of the American people, I congratulate the people of Sri Lanka on the successful and peaceful conclusion of Sri Lanka’s presidential election and incoming President Maithripala Sirisena on his victory. I also commend the outgoing administration of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa for facilitating a swift and orderly transition of power. Beyond the significance of this election to Sri Lanka, it is also a symbol of hope for those who support democracy all around the world.

International and domestic monitors and observers were permitted to do their jobs. Sri Lankans from all segments of society cast their ballots peacefully, and the voice of the people was respected. At this moment of hope, the United States looks forward to deepening its partnership with the people and government of Sri Lanka and to working with President Sirisena to advance peace, democracy, and prosperity for all Sri Lankans.

We don’t want any advise from you Obama.First treat your people and teach democracy to your people instead of killing thousands of innocent civilians around the world. We know that you have a stooge now here as the President.Let’s see how you will both work together to keep the peace in my homeland. We are watching you imperial murderers.

    Mr President!
His prime minister Ranil is now planning to give our Trinco port to U.S.A through tamil eelamist. You can shift Diago Garcia to Trinco with in few months and control the Indian Ocean!
If Sinhalese protests Ranil can open another Batalanda slaughter house and grant total freedom from their life. Same way you guys granted democracy and freedom to Vietnam,Chile, Indonesia, Grenada, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya,Thailand and Egypt.

Dear Mr President; Democrats will get more contributions from the Indian vermin in the US but not from the Native Indians if there is any left. When are you going to give voting rights to millions of Hispanics?
