WHY RANIL ENCOURAGE UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL TO DELAY ITS REPORT AGAINST MY PRESIDENT HIS EXCELLENCY MAHINDA RAJAPAKSE?

Mr (A)vamangala Samaraweera and the Prime Minister are trying all diplomatic avenues to delay the publication of the report that is likely to be adverse against My President HE Mahinda Rajapakse. Have they suddendly fallen in love with My President? Or are there any ulterior motives behind?
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe ( as my father labelled ) is a Master Crook in political terms. He has the DNA of his late uncle who was well known in Sri Lanka as Maha Nariya ( the Big Fox).
If the United Nations Security Council Report is released before the forthcoming Parlimentary General Election in Sri Lanka, the public sympathy towards My President will further increase. Simultaneously, the public anger against the Prime Minister Mr Ranil Wickremasinghe will be elevated to uncontrollable levels. As a very intelligent, cunning and shrewd politician he is fully aware of these repercussions.
We demand the Prime Minister to stop soft pedelling with the United Nations, and urge them to release the Report immediately.
Westerners are also aware that the release of the Report before the Parliamentary General Election will not only bring the down fall of the Prime Minister but also bring an abrupt end to the Presidency of Mr Maithreepala Sirisena.
The Prime Minister is challenging My President to contest the Parliamentary General Election. But we challenge the Prime Minister to arrange to release the Report against My President before the Election.
In all counts the Prime Minister Mr Ranil Wickremasinghe is a vindictive person. So why are you showing any mercy to My President?
The second son of Esmond and Nalini Wickremasinghe, has become a ghost in Sri Lankan politics. His relatives pioneered the publication of first Roman Catholic Magazine/Newspaper in Sri Lanka known as “The Messenger” and “Gnanartha Pradeepaya “.
Mr Prime Minister, you need not be a Messenger for My President, because he is not at your Mercy!
Bring it on immediately!

Cannot believe the UNP led (others gone mum) present govt. was D.S. Senanayake & Dudley Senanayake and even JRJ party. Those were gentlemen. The present lot have come from some underground and cowardly place ?

In a country full of fools “Pigs do fly”.
In reality Wimal Weerawansa, the big mouthed, big talking, uneducated fool is responsible for destroying the JVP for his selfish and for his personal gains. Hiding behind the shadow of MR and by getting the sympathy of the ex-President, Weerawansa was responsible for unpardonable damages he caused to the Rajapaksa regime.
He with Duminda Silva, Mahindananada Aluthgamage and Mervyn Silva cultivated a bad reputation for Sri Lanka.
Weerawansa as well as his uneducated woman both deserve to go to jail.

Who is this Jayantha guy, insulting one of the cleverest and patriotic politicians in SL, Weerawansa. You must be a complete cretin to say what you have said about Wimal. What wrongs has he done other than defending Mahinda Rajapakse who gave us freedom. And do you have another name like ‘mada captain mangala’. You are talking about ‘educated’, and what right have you to talk about his education and education is not just a degree, post degree, or even a doctorate (a proper one). You must be one of those people who just feels self important and achieved nothing in this life, hasn’t done a day’s worth of work in this life, and bursting with JEALOUSY.

May I know who the legal Prime Minister and Chief Justice of Sri Lanka are today?
Has the new President Sirisena, violated the Sri Lankan constitution by sacking the former Chief Justice Mohan Peiris and the former Prime Minister Jayaratne? Why wont the national newspapers discuss these questionable acts of the new President for the sake of protecting democracy in Sri Lanka?
Appointing Ranil to this position, whethr illegal or not, is also dangerous for the unity of the nation, as we know how he divided the UNP through his dictatorial actions and also, how he never condemned the LTTE terrorists for any of their crimes. Already he and his side kick Mangala are globe trotting saying things which must be very pleasing to the LTTE ears.

This Prime Minister is capable of “every thing and anything”. We know how both the then President Mr. Mahinda Rajapakse and this PM played several “hide and seek” games prior to the January 2015 election. My suspicions were confirmed in the early hours (3,00 a.m) of January 9th, 2015, when the Chairman of Hilton Hotel, Mr Nadarajah – the husband of Ms. Nirupama Rajapakse, MP – cousin of Mr. Mahinda Rajapakse accompanied, the present Prime Minister Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe, the then Leader of the Opposition to the Temple Trees to discuss and execute the “EXIT” plans.
Who has answers to all those “WHYS”? of delaying the release of that UNCHR report? Mr Dissanayake’s assumption is one way to look at the situation. Yet, I feel there are other very “direct” answers than, we ordinary guys would give. Time will tell us all those reasons.

Politically motivated harassment of Sashi Weerawansa is despicable and loathsome. She is the mother of two young children and doesn’t deserve this. Looks like Ranil and company is having sleepless nights after the historic Nugegoda public meeting. This is certainly not good governance. In fact we are witnessing the worst governance this country has seen in a long time.
The UNP is well known for its politically motivated revenge tactics. Under Rajapaksa, only Fonseka ended up in custody (among opposition politicians and their kith and kin) for political reasons. Now Tissa, Sashi, etc. are remanded on false charges and many more will be punished randomly. Some will even end up in gallows over false war crimes.
It all boils down to the political miscalculation of the Rajapaksa regime. Wasting 90% of borrowed funds on the north and east, continuing with 13A, LLRC, deliberately ignoring Sinhala IDPs, police attacks on Sinhala people of Keviliyamaduwa in Batticaloa (after disregarding them for long), appeasing Tamil separatists with removing three quarters of high security zones in the north from October 2010 to December 2013 and untimely elections resulted this.
Accepting these home truths leads to correction and reversal of political (mis)fortunes. I’m afraid denial will only worsen the predicament of the Rajapaksa camp. JHU will very heavily use the statstics of removing HSZs in Jaffna (from 35,000 acres in 2010 to just around 9,000 acres by 2013) against the Rajapaksas during the upcoming election. To stay ahead of the game and win, Rajapaksa needs to take up a more nationalist cause. Building up trust and acceptance among Muslims is also needed to win elections.
Complaints must be made to the UNHRC on political victimisation and human rights violation of opposition activists.

Wimal Weerawansa is a great patriot. Insulting his wife for a mistake by the Passport Office is an offense. WW should take this to Courts and get some compesation for pain of mind ! About Rs 5 billion should put a stop to ugly Nari-palanaya games.
In an insane asylum like with Nari-palanaya, only enemies of Lanka gain. Shame on the UNP and spineless supporters.

Does RW know the contents of the UN security council report? Is that why he is holding it up? My fear about MR running for Premiership is that if he is elected then the same games will start all over again. They will accuse him of all kinds of bogus things and the West will bring new false allegations against him. We are like dogs on a leash with these unholy alliances. Since Independence in 1948 we have had no real freedom. We are wagged mainly by India as per Christie and then by the West. They all want to take the little we have and destroy us. When you look at the Middle East you can see the trail of destruction wrought by Western powers in the name of democracy. My fear is that Sri Lanka will meet the same fate as Iraq, Libya, Egypt, Syria etc., if they are allowed to have their way with us. Even if we allow them to control us entirely it is no guarantee of safety for the people. MR tried to use the China umbrella but was not allowed to do so.
In case of Sri Lanka MR actually saved most of the LTTE terrorists and rehabilitated them and released them to society and also gave new lives to the 300,000 civilians who were kidnapped by LTTE. In case of the Sinhala youth, the JVP had no such luck and were decimated twice ! The Sri Lanka army saved the some 300,000 Tamil civilians at great cost to themselves and yet no word of thanks from either the Tamils or the TNA or world organizations. TNA has now brought out accusations of Genocide which any one can see is totally false when over 44% of the people living in Colombo are Tamils.
The Sinhalese have to only put out a word to stop patronizing Tamil businesses and Tamils will be forced to go back to Tamil Nadu very quickly. We also have to remember that for 30 years there was no proper border control between India and Sri Lanka and there were illegal immigrants coming in large numbers from Tamil Nadu, particularly during LTTE rule. Prabahakaran admitted that 35% of his army was from South India. The last census done in the North and East found the same number of Tamils even though 1 million is estimated to have left the country to go to Europe, Canada, Norway and Australia. This means almost a million had come in during the LTTE time. Most of the Muslims now in the east asking for a separate state are also Tamil.

Raj, in addition to the many commenters in Lankaweb there were 5.8 million grateful people in Sri Lanka as evident by the recent presidential election.
The difference between the two type is that the grateful people drank mothers’ milk whereas the ungrateful lot drank camels’ milk (Otu Kiri)!

What about a Report on the Crimes of the LTTE for some 26 plus years, against the State and the People of Lanka ?
We want a Report on the Crimes of the LTTE. 20 Million People of Lanka demand that. A domestic inquiry and an international inquiry must be held.
