කන්කසන්තුරේ හා ආරුගම්බේ ඉදිකර ඇති බව කියන ජනාධිපති මන්දිරය ගැන කරුණු පැහැදිලි කිරීමක් හිටපු ජනාධිපති මහින්ද රාජපක්‍ෂ මසහතා විසින් සිදු කරයි.
මෙහි දැක්වෙන්නේ ඔහු විසින් නිකුත් කර ඇති එම නිවේදනයයි.
මාධ්‍ය නිවේදනය
මාගේ භාවිතය සඳහා කන්කසන්තුරේ ඉදි වෙමින් පැවති ජනාධිපති මන්දිරයක් යැයි කියන ගොඩනැගිල්ලක රූප ජනමාධ්‍ය ඔස්සේ ප්‍රචාරය කෙරුනි. කන්කසන්තුරේ ඉදිවෙමින් පැවති කිසිදු ජනාධිපති මන්දිරයක් නැති බව ජනතාවට දැනුම් දීමට මම කැමැත්තෙමි. 1980 ගණන් වලදී කොටි ත්‍රස්තවාදීන් විසින් විනාශ කරන තුරු ජනාධිපති මන්දිරයක් යාපනය කොටුව තුල තිබුණු බව මෙහිදී මතක් කර දිය යුතුය. එය අද දක්වාම නැවත ඉදිකර නැත. කන්කසන්තුරේ ඉදිවෙමින් පවතින ගොඩනැගිල්ල ජනාධිපති ලේකම් කාර්යාලය යටතේ පවතින ජාත්‍යන්තර සම්බන්ධතා මධ්‍යස්ථානයකි. එහි ඉදිකිරීම් කටයුතු භාරව හිටියේ නාවුක හමුදාවයි. ලංකාවේ වැඩිම ඉල්ලුමක් තිබෙන සම්මන්ත්‍රණ මධ්‍යස්ථාන වන බණ්ඩාරනාක සම්මන්ත්‍රණ ශාලාව, ශ්‍රී ලංකා පදනම් ආයතනය, නෙලුම් පොකුණ වැනි ආයතන සියල්ල පැවතියේ ජනාධිපති ලේකම් කාර්යාලය යටතේය.
කන්කසන්තුරේ හා ආරුගම්බේ යන ස්ථානවල ඉදිවෙම්න් පැවති ගොඩනැගිලි ජනාධිපති මන්දිර නොව ජාත්‍යන්තර සම්මන්ත්‍රණ මධ්‍යස්ථානයි. ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ පැවැත්වෙන නොයෙක් ජාත්‍යන්තර සම්මන්ත්‍රණ වලටත්, උතුරු නැගෙනහිර ප්‍රදේශ වලට පැමිණෙන විදෙස් රාජ්‍ය නායකයින් හා වෙනත් දෙස් විදෙස් අමුත්තන්ගේ ප්‍රයෝජනය සදහාත් මෙම මධ්‍යස්ථාන භාවිතා කිරීමට සැලසුම් කර තිබුණි. සාමය උදාවීමත් සමග මේ ප්‍රදේශවලට යන එන දෙස් විදේස් අමුත්තන්ගේ ගණන විශාල වශයෙන් වැඩිවනු ඇතැයි අපේක්ෂා කරන ලදී. මෙකි මධ්‍යස්ථාන ජනාධිපති ලේකම් කාර්යාලය යටතේ පැවති සෙසු සම්මන්ත්‍රණ මධ්‍යස්ථාන වලින් වෙනස් වන්නේ ඒවායේ නවාතැන් පහසුකම් ද සපයා තිබීමෙනි. මේ ජාත්‍යන්තර සම්බන්ධතා මධ්‍යස්ථාන ඉදි කිරීමට කැබිනට් අනුමැතිය ද ලැබී තිබුණි. මෙවැනි ආයතන ඉදි කිරීම ජනාධිපති මන්දිර සඳහා සිදු කරන නාස්තිකාර වියදමක් හැටියට හුවා දැක්විම පසුගිය වකවානුව පුරාම මට එරෙහිව පැවති අවලාද ව්‍යාපාරයේ කොටසක් බව කිව යුතුය.
මේ සාවද්‍ය ප්‍රචාර වලින් නොමග නොයන මෙන් මම ජනතාවගෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටිමි.

Former president Mahinda Rajapaksa said today that no presidential residence was being built in Kankesanthurai for his exclusive use as reported in the media.
Wide publicity has been given to images of what is purported to be a half-built presidential residence in Kankesanthurai said to have been constructed for my exclusive use. I wish to inform the public that no presidential residence was being built for me in Kankesanthurai,” he said.
Mr. Rajapaksa said the presidential residence,within the Jaffna Fort, destroyed by the LTTE in the 1980s had not been rehabilitated to date and added that the property in Kankesanthurai was an International Relations Centre belonging to the presidential secretariat and being constructed by the Navy.
The public may be aware that some of the best known convention centres in the country like the BMICH, the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute and NelumPokuna come under the presidential secretariat,” he said adding that the International Relations Centres in Kankesanthurai and Arugam Bay were being built not as presidential residences but as international convention centres to be used when Sri Lanka hosts international events.

Is this the press freedom the traitor MY3 promised? He is making himself looking like an idiot by using the press to sling mud to our honourable president Mahinda Rajapaksa. This is not the first instance the press was used to sling mud at MR and will not the last.The unholy trinity of MY3, Ranil and Chandrika fooled some of us at the presidential elections, but now people are aware that they are paid to destroy our country.
