I read that it contained 113 signatures, which is the majority needed to bring Ranil down once more and end his authoritarian rule on behalf of the white people in the US and the EU that he serves.

Why wasn’t it handed to the speaker OFFICIALLY in parliament?

You don’t go to speaker’s HOUSE at NIGHT to hand over a parliamentary motion!! That has NEVER happened in SL before.

Looks like this is another FACE SAVE thing. We need REAL ACTION to remove Run-NIL from PM post and appoint DINESH.

Great!! we hope and pray that this western backed Tie Coat guy will be gone for good of the country as soon as possible. All peace loving Sinhala Buddhists must vote against UNP if they love their Motherland if not foreigners will rule the country very soon. NO MORE ” APE KAMA” with these western puppets.

At last. Let democracy come back to parliament. RW and UNP that never supported the elimination of LTTE terrorists forming a unity government. My foot.

Lanka needs all her leaders to recover from JVP and LTTE and Colonisation & Cold War politics. What a shame that Ranil and some others still think in terms of Cold War times. If everyone gets together for the common good, then Lanka can succeed.

Imitate Germany & Denmark for socio economic success and Britain re Security.

    Kumari and Fran Diaz,

Unity government is a FRAUD! What Ranil really means by ‘unity government’ is what he has right now – a UNP-led minority government with other parties playing minor roles with minor ministerships for cosmetic purposes.

And, no, Sri Lanka should NOT emulate the UK on security. The UK is playing the sidekick role of the US empire in an effort to hang on to as much of their former glory as a former empire. This is actually quite sad, and reminds us once again why the world no longer needs or wants ANY empire of any sort. This century is not going to be an “American century” as desired by security ‘experts’ in the UK and the US, it is going to be a century that belongs to everyone!

    Metteyya,

    Thank you for response.

What I mean is that :
    * Britain is an island nation just like Lanka, only larger, and they have managed to keep the country safe in an earlier volatile area from which two world wars came. How do they do it for security ?

    * LANGUAGE :They have kept the English Language for Britain with no other languages other than Scottish, Welsh & Irish which are ealire existing languages using the English Alphabet. Also, they do not have a large land masses of Irish, Scots or Welsh hanigng over their island home, unlike in Lanka which has Tamil Nadu area with Tamil language as a National/Official language in Lanka. Also stringent security across the English Channel connecting Britain to France and rest of Europe, with laws to guard against illegal migrants etc. Britain does not bring hoardes of Europeans to work there either, as does Lanka with Tamils. It is not easy to enter Britain and stay on there as illegal migrants as done in Lanka.
    * COASTLINE: Britian has also developed security of her coastlines which Lanka has to emulate. Recently, Ranil W closed the Navy training centre in the North.
Lanka is already affiliated with the US for security of the high seas from terrorism. Recently, as far as I know from the press reports, Pres Sirisena gave permission to the UK to man the Lanka sea area for drug trafficking. This is dubious considering the fact that Britain was responsible for trafficking Opium into China and destroying society there.
    * INTERNAL SECURITY : The other country to emulate for INTERNAL security is Switzerland which is landlocked. They train their citizens to safeguard the country.

NB: the US was not involved in European security issues till the sinking of the British luxury ship “Lusitania” with a number of American VIPs on board. The ship sank in a mere 12-15 minutes as the hold of the ship carried explosives, contradictory to law of passenger ships. Germans in Ireland at the time fired motars on the ship sinking it fast due to explosives on board. The ship also went close to the Irish shoreline occupied by Germans and the captain of the ship had been changed too.

For a PERMANENT solution to the so called Tamil Problem, Tamil Nadu has to issue new birth certificates sans caste. Then there will be on claim on Lanka by Tamils, no conversions to other religions by Tamils creating endless troubles in Lanka, and no interference in Lanka internal affairs by foreign countries.
