The Rajapaksa comeback creates many ‘cats on hot bricks’

The inevitable announcement by the UPFA that the former President Mahinda Rajapakse will be nominated for the August 17 elections has created the anticipated hysterical reaction from marginal political players who took part in the January 8 conspiracy plotted by the venomous Chandrika Kumaratunga.

The Rajapakse success seems to have created many ‘cats on hot bricks’ out of ‘players’ ranging from the ‘swollen-headed’ Arjuna Ranathunga and the ‘muscle-brained’ Ranjan Ramanayake, to ‘UNP stooges’ like Tilvin Silva of the politically irrelevant JVP. These characters are aware that they will never be able to defeat Mahinda Rajapakse in a true democratic test of popularity among the majority, and they are panicking.

Arjuna Ranathunga, the most prominent ‘player’ who launched the most vituperative attack against President Sirisena for agreeing to Rajapkse’s nomination, seems to be clutching to Chandrika’s saripota” ever more tightly that he risks being swung out of political circulation at the next elections.

Tilvin Silva, a JVP veteran of the blood-stained 1971 and 1987-89 vintages also seems to have stumbled on to the Yahapalana bandwagon since January 8by accident, trying to escape  political oblivious through the common front!

The total lack of political integrity makes any discussion of ambitious opportunists of the calibre of Rajitha Senaratne and Champika Ranawaka unneeded.

The protests of these bogusly self-appointed guardians of democracy and good governance against Rajapakse’s nomination seem to be based on their own, new definitions of democracy and good governance: they seem to conveniently and corruptly ignore that Maithripala Sirisena had no other choice but to allow Rajapakse’s nomination simply because it was demanded by the majority; He had no other choice in the face of demands by an overwhelming majority of the parliamentary membership of the UPFA and the SLFP who in turn were motivated by their knowledge of the yearning for a Rajapakse return at the grass roots”. Their inaction through the party machinery to bring Rajapakse back would have made their own political survival impossible.

The other hyperventilating group, the corrupt  NGO-wallahs appear to be led by Ven. Maduluwawe Sobhitha, the Chief Incumbent of Naga Viharaya, Pita Kotte, acting in the capacity as the leader of an NGO with a highly- political agenda, named National Movement for Social Justice.

Rev Sobhita was a prominent supporter of the January 8 conspiracy and has tried (seemingly unsuccessfully) to be the self-appointed Purohita to President Sirisena. Rajapakse’s success with the UPFA seems to have greatly unsettled Rev Sobhita to such an extent, that it has made him vulnerable to accusations of behaviour unbecoming of a Buddhist monk.

Firstly to some glaring inconsistencies and hypocrisy about Rev Sobhita’s behaviour: every leading January 8 conspirator criticising and ridiculing Rajapakse for ‘operating’ from a Buddhist temple – Abhayarama Temple at Narahenpita – seem to be quite happy about Rev Sobhita’s operation running from the historic Naga Viharaya. The monk himself carries on calling press conferences and meetings with people such as Ranil Wickremesinghe and others at the temple premises. But that seems to be fine according to the flexible  Yahapalana morals.

Then, the level of noise Rev Sobhita is making and the level of influence he seems to be ‘expecting’ – from and on governments – appears to be totally out-of-proportion to the membership strength of the so-called National Movement for Social Justice he is president of – Attempts to obtain a precise membership figure for the movement” have been unsuccessful and the spokesperson seems to be unaware of the actual membership figure!

Rev Sobhita should feel obliged – as a self-acclaimed political operator and a promoter of democracy – to make an announcement on the membership strength he represents, if he is to be able to justify the noise he is making and partisan politics he is engaged on behalf of We, the people” , and being the voice of the people.”

Such requests are not too much to ask for, from a holy” person who proclaims that people” had no trust in former President Mahinda Rajapaksa who has allegedly betrayed the masses on two occasions and wants to return to the political arena to continue his dirty game! He also made the rather ‘unholy’ remark that Rajapaksa was shamelessly trying to make a comeback after being rejected by the masses at the last Presidential election”. It is obvious from the massive grass roots campaign in favour of Rajapakse that his claims of what the people are demanding starkly contrasts with reality, and appear clearly disingenuous.

Rev Sobhita who has no genuine contact with the broader public other than the less than 100 members of his organisation and his partisan rants are not based on the reality beyond perimeter of the Naga Vihara.

It appears that the intemperate personality and the inflated ego Rev Sobhita is portraying is quite unhealthy from a mental health point of view and is surely incompatible with the Buddhist path of Samma Vacha” the Buddha has recommended for monks and laymen.

It is time that the nations put Rev Sobhita in his place.

We should not get carried away like at the last presidential election. India made an error in 2005 and tried to correct it in 2010 with Fonseka. In 2015 India succeeded in getting rid of Mahinda. What I see is India is doing the same again and is doing well in dividing the Sinhala vote. In case India looses it has its well proven terrorists plan. Previously the Indian terrorists were headed by an Indian Colonial Parasite and India is using the same plan. This time there is a change in the Sinhala terrorists outfit and it is lead by an Indian colonial parasite. This new Sinhala terrorist seems to have more money than the both previous terrorists groups. The latest Sinhala recruits are being paid tens of thousands of dollars. Please look out for Sinhala youth with lots of money, specially those in the universities. The plan may to attack the Sri Lankan government and the Sinhalese by both groups at the same time. While we are engaged in politics Indian Empire will use terrorists again.

President Maithri goes missing! – White Van has made a grand comeback!

Details Created on Monday, 06 July 2015 16:19 Category: General

Travelling to Polonnaruwa to open a chain of cottages of a hotel owned by his daughter Chaturika Sirisena by 7.00 am today (06), president Maithripala Sirisena came to Colombo in the afternoon to be a witness to the marriage of Hirunika Premachandra.

After signing for the marriage, the president left for Kandy, and has been uncontactable since. The ex-president Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga and prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe both tried to get in contact with him over mobile phone, but all those attempts had failed. The president’s security has refused to give any firm detail regarding the whereabouts of the president.

The president last night promised the ex-president and the PM that he would summon SLFP general secretary Anura Priyadarshana Yapa and obtain his resignation letter. The two have tried to contact him to ask him about the status of his promise.

Party seniors too, are trying to contact the president to decide on the nominations. For a reason best known to himself, the president has switched off his mobile phone and is keeping to himself.

The enemies of the land have gone berserk after hearing the comeback’s kid’s nomination to the next General election.
Nobody can doubt about Mahinda’s popularity with the voter. Every adult, every child loves this man for what he did during last 10 years to this country although few conspirators do not approve his comeback.

Choura Regina and Ranil both were rejected individuals from politics. People know who they are. Ranil was responsible for many innocent deaths in Sri Lanka in the past. He is the architecture of Batalanda torture chambers. He is the man who signed a treaty giving half of the country to the terrorist leader Prabakaran. He is the one who laughed at war heroes telling Thoppigala is only a piece of jungle not worth fighting.

Mahinda must be very careful this time. He should not believe Sira at all. He is the billy boy of Chandrika. Sira will not support Mahinda passing Choura because she is the one who orchestrated the coup for him to become the President. Ranil will work as per the advise of America and Indian Parasites. He don’t care about the country or the people or the Sinhala Buddhist etc. He is a paid servant of the west and people in this country should know better about him than anyone. These three evil characters will do everything in their power to stop Mahinda’s comeback. People who really supports him must be vigilant and awake at all times to protect this man from falling in to their trap. May Lord save our country and this man MAHINDA for freeing our beloved country from LTTE barbarism.

Rajapakse is a patriotic leader who embarked on a well planned project to make Sri Lanka the wonder of Asia. However, he made blunders in the field of law and order and allowed investigations to drag on, including the cases relating to Ravi Karunanayake receiving massive funds from overseas and Kuram Shaik’s murder by a village goon. Past 6 months has shown there is no other leader to match Rajapakse’s patriotic enthusiasm to protect the sovereignty of the unitary state of Sri Lanka and the ability to embark on mega development projects to cater to the needs of the nation for decades to come.
We need him to take over the government and continue his unfinished business. It is a big plus for Rajapakse that people with notorious reputations such as Somawansa Amarasinghe, Mervyn Silva, SB, Chandrika etc are openly campaigning against him. Therefore, this election might also give him the chance to lead a government without those who previously engaged in corrupt practices, as many of them if not all, have crossed over to Sirisena’s camp. We used to categorise the flight of the corrupt, incompetent, greedy, selfish people as Good Riddance of Bad Rubbish (GROBR). There is no need to tell Rajapakse not to trust Sirisena as he must be knowing what Sirisena is capable of doing, and must be having a Plan B to activate if needed.

  6. Ratanapala Says:

Not so reverend Rev Sobhitha is now a monk of the Palli Nikaya. He was converted by late Catholic Dr Jayalath Jayawardana to be his acolyte. This monk made many trips around the world in his company and only gods above know what compromising situations he would have got into during these ‘trips’. There are many monks in and around Colombo who accompanied him during these sojourns and they must know first hand what took place. We leave the educated reader to make their own investigations and come to reasonable conclusions. My own knowledge of the monk since the eighties when he was a bull horn for the patriotic masses and later his change of face in support of Separatism and Christian Church inspired agenda, it is obvious to me that he is being blackmailed by the Catholic Church. Now he has become a bull horn for the same unholy institution. He has no escape and he is compelled to do their bidding and that is what exactly he is accomplishing at present.

This morally bankrupt monk cannot understand that 58 Lakhs voted for Mahinda Rajapakse alone. Of the supposed to be 62 Lakhs who voted for M Sirisena significant chunks are made up of fiat or decreed votes of tribal and religious minorities, commanded by their handlers either local or foreign. These are not democratic votes. It is almost certain that the Tamil votes in the North and East as well as from the Estate Sector were the result of RAW manipulations. The others came from the United Christian Party aka UNP and some disgruntled UPFA voters who believed erroneously the goebblesian propaganda of the Yahapalana ( Good Governance) crooks.

However way the votes were cast, the difference is only 4 lakhs of votes. A difference of a little over 2 lakh votes would have made Mahinda Rajapakse the President for a third time. Therefore trying to make Mahinda Rajapakse a ‘discarded coin’ or avalangu kasiyak in normal parlance is a rather dishonest attempt of this monk.

This is the reason there is an unstoppable ground swell of sympathy and support for the always warm and generous Mahinda Rajapakse who now goes by the honorific – Appachchi or Father. People know that he is the man who saved the nation from Tamil Racist Terrorism of the LTTE and made Sri Lanka the fastest growing nation in the world. They also know now that the Yahapalana crooks lied through their teeth to carryout the 8 January coup with the help of the traitor Sirisena.

People must know that if Mahinda Rajapakse looses this election, it will be “Libya time” for Sri Lanka before long.
