The new Cabinet of Ministers of the new government, set to take oaths tomorrow (25) is said to be comprised of 30 MPs including 16 from the United National Party (UNP) and 14 from the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).
According to SLFP sources, the 14 ministerial portfolios to be given to the SLFP will include M.K.D.S. Gunawardena who was appointed through the UNP national list along with Arjuna Ranatunga, Patali Champika Ranawaka and Dr. Rajitha Senaratne, all three of whom contested at the General Election from the UNP ticket.
As per provisions in the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, the number of MPs in the Cabinet when establishing a National Government is to be decided by the Parliament and therefore it is expected that the number of ministers in the Cabinet would be exceeding 30 following the Parliament convening on 1, September.

M.K.D.S. Gunawardena, Arjuna Ranatunga, Patali Champika Ranawaka and Dr. Rajitha Senaratne ARE UNP!! NOT SLFP.
So the real deal is UNP 20 (16 + 4), SLFP 10 (14 – 4).
What a funny bloody national govt. of greedy vampires!!!

These are hyenas who eats the flesh of the voters and roam around searching for more. Let them come we are ready in the next any election. We are fed up of this sham elections. They are Kings and we are fools to believe them. Enough is enough.I do not know about others but I will never give my vote to any dirty politician in this country again. I believed some whom I thought will work on behalf of the country and it’s people but unfortunately they are all after power and money nothing else. First time I see or hear that loser’s are going to become Ministers and get very Important places in the Govt of Jarapalanaya.
I would like to know where Mahinda stands in this new setup. If he chose to go along with Jarapalanaya then I will not support him or his party but he will be my hero for ever in my heart for being the leader who ends the cruel war. We gave our vote to him for his leadership and for the promises he made during the election time. He and his followers all stood up and wowed in front of Buddhist clergy and millions of voters that they will not join with anyone but will Govern alone and fulfill their promises but unfortunately they do now is the opposite by joining the UNP traitors and taking up positions. This is shame and absurd. We want Mahinda to be with Wimal,Dinesh,Wasu and Gamampila because they were the ones who brought him back. He should take the lead and oppose this Achcharu Govt for rigging the elections,appointing the loser’s,sacking of secretaries etc. We like to see him as courageous leader not a weak one like Sira who bends like Beckham.

Ranjit, There will be no other election in the future. This group are ruthless unlike MR and will consolidate their power completely so that even if there is another election it will be won by them. Unless a miracle happens like the 2004 Tsunami which wiped out the sea tigers and real Prabahakaran along with Pottu Amman there is no hope for Sinhalese Buddhists. Very soon Ranil W will demoralize and weaken the armed forces. They had a civil trial for Sergeant Sunil Ratnayake who was one of the long range. Please see the article below. LRRP නොහොත් දිගු දුර විහිදුම් බලකාය කිව්වම 2009 ට කළින් ජීවත් වුණ කවුරුත් අහල ඇති. අපේ හමුදාවේ සුපිරිතමයන් දෙපිරිස ලෙස සැලකෙන විශේෂ බලකායේ සහ කොමාන්ඩෝ බලකායේ සෙබලුන්ගෙනුත් අති දක්ෂතා දැක්වූ සහ උපරිමයෙන්ම විනය තියෙන බොහොම සුළු පිරිසක් පමණයි LRRP (Long Range Recon Patrol) එකට සම්බන්ධ කරගන්නේ.
යුධ කාලයේදීනම් කොටි කඳවුරු 5 ක් හෝ 6 ක් වුවත් පසුකරගෙන රහසේම ගොස් අදාල මෙහෙයුම සිදුකර නිරුපද්‍රිතව නැවතත් පැමිණීම ඔවුන්ගේ රාජකාරියයි.
මේ ප්‍රවෘත්තියේ කථා නායකයා රත්නායක මුදියන්සේලාගේ සුනිල් රත්නායක. ගමේ හැදිච්ච හොඳ සිංහල කොල්ලෙක්. පසුගිය මානුෂික මෙහෙයුම සමයේ රට බේරා ගැනීම සඳහා යුධ හමුදාවට එක් වී, එහිදී ඔහු දැක්වූ අති විශිෂ්ට දක්ෂතාවය නිසා දිගු දුර විහිදුම් බලකායට ඔහුව බඳවා ගන්නවා.
එවකට ඔහුට විශේෂ මෙහෙයුමක් ලැබෙනවා. දින ගණනාවක් රැක සිට යාපනයට පහර දීමට සැලසුම් කළ ආයුධ සන්නද්ධ ත්‍රස්තයින් 8 දෙනෙක්ව වැඩි සද්දයක් නැතිව ඉවර කරලා ආපසු එනවා. ඒ තමයි ඔවුන්ගේ රාජකාරිය.
මානුෂික මෙහෙයුම අවසානයේ විශිෂ්ඨතා ඇගයීම් වලට ලක්ව සිටි ඔහු ඇතුළු දිගු දුර විහිදුම් බලකායේ දෙවන ලුතිනන්වරයෙක් සහ තවත් 4 දෙනෙකුව හදිසියේම මෑතකදී අත් අඩංගුවට ගන්නවා. සිවිල් පිට සිටි දෙමළ ජාතිකයින්ව මැරීමයි ඔවුන්ට එරෙහිව තිබූ චෝදනාව. නමුත් ඔබ හොඳින් දන්නවා කොටි සාමාජිකයින් යුනිෆෝම් පිටින් නෙමෙයි යුද්ධ කළේ.
ඔවුන්ට විරුද්ධව චෝදනාවක් තිබේනම් ඔවුන්ව යුධ අධිකරණයකට (Court Martial) ගෙන ආ යුතුයි. නමුත් යුධ අධිකරණයට ගෙන යන්නේ නොමැතිව සාමාන්‍ය සිවිල් අධිකරණයකදී ඔවුන්ට එරෙහිව නඩු අහනවා. එය යුධ හමුදා පණත උල්ලංඝනය කරන්නක්.
LRRP එකට බඳවා ගන්නේ කිසිම ආකාරයකින් විනය කඩ නොකරන බවට අදල මෙහෙයුම් බලගණයේ නායකායට පවා 100% ක් තහවුරු කරගත හැකි අයව පමණයි. ඔවුන් අතින් ඉතිහාසයේ කිසිම විටෙක විනය කඩකිරීම් සිදුවී නෑ.
හතර දෙනකුට එරෙහිව චෝදනා සාධාරණ සැකයෙන් තොරව ඔප්පු කිරීමට පැමිණිල්ල අපොහොසත් වෙනවා. අන්තිමට හිටපු කොටි සාමාජිකයෙකුගේම සාක්ෂි යොදා ගනිමින් රණවිරු සුනිල් රත්නායකට මරණ දඬුවම ලබා දෙනවා. මේ වන විට එල්ලුම් ගහ ක්‍රියත්මක බැවින් තව මාස කීපයකින් මොහුගේ නිසල දේහය වැලිකඩ පෝරකයේ තියේවි.
ඉදිරියේ වෙනත් රජයක් පත් වුවහොත් නැවතත් නඩු විභාග කර මොහුව ගෞරව සහිතව නිදහස් කිරීම සිදුවෙන බව දන්නා නිසා, ඉදිරි අගෝස්තුවේදී මොහු ඇතුළු තවත් රණවිරුවන් 40 දෙනෙක් සහ යුධ නායකත්වය ජාත්‍යන්තර යුධ අධිකරණයට ගෙන ගොස් මහ මැතිවරණයට පෙරදීම නඩු ඇසීමට සූදානම්. එසේ කරන්නේ බටහිර රටවල නායකයින්ට දෙමළ ජනතාවගේ ඡන්දය ලබා ගැනීමටයි.

් එදා බිය වුණානම් බිය වුණේ අපේ හමුදාවේ දිගු දුර විහිදුම් බලකායට පමණයි. ඒ නිසයි 2002 සටන් විරාම ගිවිසුමේ කොන්දේසියකට අනුව අතුරුගිරිය මිලේනියම් සිටි නිවාසය වටලා එහි බුද්ධි අංශ නිලධාරීන් ඇතුළු සියලුම රණවිරුවන්ව හෙළිදරව් වෙන්නේ. මාස කිහිපයක් ඇතුළත ඒ සියලුම දෙනා කොටි පිස්තෝල කල්ලිය අතින් පිට පිට ඝාතනය වුණා.
වෙනත් රටවල ජාතික සම්පත් ලෙස සැලකෙන මෙවන් දිගුදුර විහිදුම් බලකා නිලධාරීන්ට විශාල වැටුප් වර්ධක සහ පදක්කම් ලබා දෙමින් උපරිමයෙන් රැක ගන්නවා. යම් විදිහකින් ඒ නිලධාරීන් අතින් මෙහෙයුමකදී අතපසු වීමක් සිදුවුණත් ජනාධිපති සමාව ලබා දෙමින් ඔවුන්ව ආරක්ෂා කරනවා. ඒ ඔවුන් ජාතිය වෙනුවෙන් කරන ලද සේවයට කෘත ගුණ දැක්වීමක් ලෙසටයි. නමුත් අපේ රටේ සිදුවන්නේ සතුරන්ගේ සාක්ෂි අසා අර රණවිරුවන්ව පෝරකයට දැක්කීමයි.
හිටපු ජේෂ්ඨතමයෙකුගේ මාස්ටර් ප්ලෑනකට අනුව අනුව විශේෂයෙන් පුහුණුව ලැබූ දිගුදුර විහිදුම් බලකාය මේ වන විට විදේශ රටකට පවා ගොස් සතුරන්ව අඩපන කිරීමට හැකි පරිදි ශක්තිමත් වී සිටිනවා. අන්න ඒ නිසා අදටත් ජාත්‍යන්තර කොටි ජාලය බියෙන් පසුවෙනවානම් ඒ දිගුදුර විහිදුම් බලකායටයි.
ඉදිරියේදී දෙමළ ඩයස්පෝරාව සමග ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ උත්සවයක් පවත්වන නිසා, දෙමළ ඩයස්පෝරා නායකයින්ට මෙරටට පැමිණීමටනම් දිගු දුර විහිදුම් බලකාය අඩපන වී තිබීම පූර්ව කොන්දේසියක් වී තිබෙනවා.
