   JUST AN OLD JOKE:-

   When Marshall Tito visited the summit conference in Sri Lanka, he stayed at the Intercontinental. There were many invitees at Intercontinental, including Mr. Marshall who owns a garage in Kandy, almost opposite St. Scholasticas School. Marshal Tito was walking along the main isle, when he accidentally bumped into Mr. Marshall who fell down. Marshall Tito picked him up, apologized and said, **I am Marshall Tito and introduced himself.** Mr. Mrshall stretched his hand and said, **I am Garage Marshall** Tito asked ” what Marshall are you ? and Mr. Marshall repeated, Garage Marshall, at which Tito said, Ugh ! Ugh !

   එක්සත් ජනතා නිදහස් සන්ධානයේ විපක්ෂය නියෝජනය කරන කණ්ඩායම පාර්ලිමේන්තුව තුළ දිනේෂ් ගුණවර්ධන මහතාගේ නායකත්වයෙන් යුතු විපක්ෂයේ වෙනම පිරිසක් ලෙස කටයුතු කිරීමට ඉකුත් සිකුරාදා තීරණය කර ඇත.ජනතාවාදී විපක්ෂය ලෙස මෙය නම් කර ඇති අතර එහි විපක්ෂ නායක වශයෙන් දිනේෂ් ගුණවර්ධන මහතා පත් කර තිබේ. විපක්ෂයේ ප්‍රධාන සංවිධායක ලෙස ඩලස් අලහප්පෙරුම මහතාද එම කණ්ඩායමේ භාණ්ඩාගාරික ලෙස මහින්දානන්ද අලුත්ගමගේ මහතාද පත්ව ඇත.
   එම කණ්ඩායමේ කැඳවුම්කරු ලෙස ප්‍රසන්න රණතුංග මහතාද පත්ව ඇති අතර ඔවුන් අය වැය විවාදයේදී එක් එක් අමාත්‍යාංශ වෙනුවෙන් කතා කරන මන්ත්‍රීවරුන් නම් කිරීමටද තීරණය කර ඇත. එම ෂැඩෝ කැබිනෙට්ටුව ලබන සතියේදී පත් කිරීමටද නියමිතය. විපක්ෂයේ මෙම කණ්ඩායම සම්බන්ධයෙන් දැනුවත් කිරීමට හා ඔවුන්ට අවශ්‍ය කාලය ලබා ගැනීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් අය-වැය විවාදය ආරම්භවීමට පෙර කථානායක කරු ජයසූරිය මහතා හමුවී සාකච්ඡා කිරීමටද තීරණය කර තිබේ.
