Chilling carnage in Paris

Terrorists had massacred 130 civilians, injuring nearly 350 and plunged France into mourning. This chilling carnage was condemned by the civilized world. Immediately after the attack, the President of France declared that France is at ´war´ with terrorists, closed its borders and announced a state of emergency. Political leaders of the US, UK, Canada, Australia and so on shaken by this attack, declared a merciless fight against terrorists and threatened to wipe out terrorism without giving in. They said, ´We stand shoulder to shoulder with France and will never bend to terrorists´. Western countries are now getting a taste of terrorism. This is food for thought for them.
For 30 years Sri Lanka had similar experiences from the LTTE . At the time what these countries did was to send a simple message of condolence. When Sri Lanka was engaged in a war with terrorists the advise given by them was to keep on negotiating. France sent the Foreign Minister along with the Foreign Minister of the UK to put pressure on Sri Lanka. And after wiping out terrorism these countries were determined to send Sri Lanka before a war crimes tribunal.

ABOUT 130 MUSLIMS WERE MASSACRED IN KATTANKUDY, THERE WAS NO MOURNING FOR THEM FROM ANYBODY. For the first time Russia uses HEAVY STRATEGIC bombers against Syrian terrorists!! We done Russia. This is SERIOUS business.
“The Russian MoD said 25 long-range bombers took part in the raid: 5 x Tu-160s, 6 x Tu-95MS and 14 x Tu-22M3.
According to one our sources who wishes to remain anonymous, the long-range bombers the Russian Air Force has used against ground targets in Syria early in the morning on Nov. 17 were Tu-22M Backfire strategic bombers.
The aircraft were allegedly launched from Mozdok airbase, in Ossetia, where as many as 6 Tu-22s were spotted on a recent deployment.
Remains of a KH-555 missile wreck were found in Syria: considered that this type of air-launched missile is mainly carried by Tu-95 Bear and Tu-160 Blackjack bombers (Tu-22s have been tested with the KH-555 but full integration is not completed or at least unknown), the long-range bombers that launched the attack on ground targets using those missiles may have been the Tu-95s or Tu-160s flying alongside the Backfires.”

Susantha, When LTTE was killing innocent women and children in Sri Lanka, they were called REBELS, SEPARATISTS and FREEDOM FIGHTERS by this same nations which lament now. I remember some bum comparing Prabakaran to Mandela!
Do you remember old women Clinton calling LTTE as good terrorists? She could be US President in next election. God help us.
The problem with Western leadership is they have no clarity of thought. They only think of the the present moment. We must not forget how Syrian terrorists( ISIS and Free Syrian terrorists) were both armed by the Western nations. Turkey is buying oil from ISIS and filling ISIS coffers even as we write.
Last few weeks we have freed 227 former LTTE terror operatives and suspects and imprisoned 17 Army personnel on flimsy charges of human rights. Are Sri Lankans digging our own graves?

YES.
And please don’t forget how we treated the post-2009 LTTE leader KP to VVIP treatment while we imprisoned war winning SF. (For Christ’s sake lets keep POLITICS OUT at least now. Politics is the CURSE of national security.) Just saying the truth.
The bottomline is SLs are digging their own grave since 2010. Ultimately SLs will end up like STUPID Europeans or Americans.

Our condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the Paris carnage. Sad events from the vast Ignorance of the value of Human Life of the 20th century yet going on into the 21st century. When will it stop ?
For Sri Lanka, a way forward :
(1) Let us go to heart of the so called Tamil Problem. Since Independence (1948), Lanka has laid unwittingly laid out a welcome mat for Tamil illegal migrants to come in with the Tamil language in place, free education & health care, jobs (because of cheap Tamil labor for tea industry), etc. Those Tamils who came to Lanka as Labor were from the Dalit sector. They came mostly to lose the sting of the 3,000 yr old Caste system in Tamil Nadu.
Take care of the Tamil folk already in Lanka but remove the Tamil language as an Official/National language. As India is divided into different sub-states through language, Tamils just may think that Lanka is an ‘extension of Tamil Nadu’. To stop illegal Tamil migrants, remove the Tamil language as a National/Official language. Use English as the link language.
The Tamil language may be used by Tamils in their daily life, but the State ought to remove it as a National/Official language. This is the only sure way to discourage illegal migrants from Tamil Nadu.
Also remove the 13-A (1987) which was foisted on Lanka under Duress during the Cold War times.
(2) The heart of the Sinhale rural youth problem : When the JVP (1970s -1989), went with Communism during the Cold War times, (1946-1991), they were eliminated with no talks held. The JVP earlier composed mostly of rural youth (in Universities, or unemployed), and rural others (farmers, teachers) formed the group in Lanka who were neglected during the Colonial period of some 500 yrs. Now there is a change in the JVP. We hope it is for the better, and does not confuse the rural folk further. Cold War politics must be put aside by the JVP, and Buddhist values taken up again with a modern outlook re jobs and life styles, if they are to win the respect of others in the country.
I do not see a sensible way forward other than making radical changes. “No more death and destruction in Lanka” ought to be our motto.

AGREE.
But “No more death and destruction in Lanka” depends on WHO is dying and WHO is destroyed. Drug dealers, separatists, terrorists, TEs, extremists, etc. MUST be killed.
When water become scarce in TN, when Saudi extends its WAHABI model, when Tamils don’t get TE, when SL refuses to take part in Endian war with China, etc. we will again face an UNWANTED WAR. Sadly it is a fact of life. We cannot run away from it.

I am not for killing anyone. Human beings can be rehabilitated even when requiring a long time to do so.
No illegal migrants into Lanka. Zero tolerance for that. Stay non-aligned too. India is NOT at war with China.
