Behavior of our PM in the parliament may lead to questioning of rationality of his decision-making. However, I believe in democracy and sympathies with him. Majority of the people trusted him with the economy and he cannot deliver and he is under extreme pressure. He is trapped in a quagmire that he cannot get himself out from. His friends have all gone poor and are problem ridden; would not do anything to support him.
Sri Lankan economy, under unofficial sanctions from People’s Republic of China (largest economy on the planet) is crumbling. Rupee is devaluing at a rate; almost all development projects initiated by previous government has come to a grinding halt. Sri Lankan economy, which grew at 7.2% in 2014, saw the growth rate plunged to 4.8% in 2015 and this is likely to go below 3% in 2016.
The neo-liberal world order is failing and Eurasian powers are taking over; Russia (military) and China (economy) are becoming prominent global forces. Anglo-Saxon power is fading. The world that Stalin and Mao were thinking of forging together is coming to shape whether we like it or not. We cannot grow with Chinese choke-hold!
For the president, PM and the rest in this government, there is no way out. They cannot develop the country and they cannot lead the economy for long-term growth; make no mistake. They are helpless home and abroad. Simple political economic analysis of the global and local scenario indicates the magnitude of the quagmire they are trapped in. These conditions are adequate to make any rational man behave irrationally. I think PM has all the right to behave as he is behaving now.

Only thing both President & PM are doing is going overseas, shaking hands and enjoy hospitality with their spouse. Nothing else.

All these problems is not a problem at all for the catholic traitor chief PM (pathala man). He doesn’t care.
He has done this numerous times. Tell some big lies and people will believe his every word since most of the newspapers and web sites are UNPatriotic party supporters. Tamils, mussies and catholics vote for the UNPatriotics anyway. So with the support of some traitor Sinhalese supporters, UNPatriotics always win. So why bother to do anything?
Pathala man done his job for the west. He destroyed enough Buddhists and destroyed Buddhism from north and east by dragging on catholic tigers tamil drealam’s war for 30 years. So the catholic west will welcome him and his family with open arms. So when the ship is really sinking, he will jump. Economy? What economy he will say.
Sad thing for the Sinhalese, there are a lot of Sinhalese who still think he is there do some good for the country, Sinhalese and Buddhism. He is a cunning man just like the traitor uncle thambi mudiyanse. So he just tell a few lies, murder Buddhists and live happily ever after!

When did Ranil succeed in raising the Economy of Lanka – with or without CBK ?
Last time he was PM with CBK as Prez, and Norway as Peacekeeper, RW signed a clandestine MoU with the LTTE with Norway supervision. End result : The LTTE grew, and a nursery for mini-subs also grew in the Vanni area, under Norwegian supervison – what on earth for ? Underwater tourism, or combo subs with the LTTE penchant for suicide bombing ?
When did Ranil win the Hearts & Minds of the masses ? (Democracy talks of “We the People”, and all that jazz, y’know !)
Also, the Batalanda episodes are not forgotten …
He succeeds only in selling off parts of Lanka to foreign countries, particularly to the west, and now also to India.
He succeeds in Fascist/Dictator type governance.
His ideas are too old fashioned (Cold War mode), too Colombo-centric and west-centric. I am all for friendship with the west, but not take over of the country by India/west, plus division of Lanka into a Fed State.
Are Ranil & CBK Patriotic ?
Today, the President in Lanka is reduced to -ms.

Thank you Ancient Sinhalaya. Our people have gone to sleep and have forgotten the past. Here are a few more videos to remind those who are interested about Ranil W what he said earlier. People have forgotten how the current cabinet which was also the similar Catholic Govt during the time of Premadasa killed almost 88,000 young Sinhala Buddhists brutally in late 1980s. Where was UNHRC and all the UN human rights watch people and the special rappoteurs and Western self righteous ambassadors at that time. These JVP people were killed most horribly as explained by an eye witness Police investigator A.P. Karunaratna who worked under Ranjan Wijeratna.
Why are our leaders silent about Ranil W’s doings? Now they are trying to destroy President Mahinda Rajapaksa who was the one man who stood bravely against the the countries who opposed the LTTE army leader being destroyed. We have allowed a man associated with Batalanda and who the Batalanda Commission recommended should have his civic rights removed installed as the Executive Prime Minister. This is truly a massive travesty of justice. In the last one year this man has single handedly brought the country which was coming up so well under President Mahinda Rajapaksa to its knees.

Thanks very much Cerberus. Thanks very much for showing courage to speak up for people who died unimaginably horrible deaths simply because they were Buddhists. I’m no jvper. I’m actually totally against the ridiculous outfit. But I like justice been done for them as well while everybody clamouring for the terrorist outfit, catholic tigers of tamil drealam. Jvpers sin was not their rebellion. Wijedasa Liyanarachchi’s eyes were gauged out and chill powder put in. What do these human rights champions think about it? Was it a cosmatic surgery to look better? Can double standards stoop to this low?
Jvpers sin was 1% rebel, 99% Buddhists, whereas tigers was 1% rebel 99% catholic. So the catholic-run UNPatriotic party looked after them and in return catholic tigers killed 100,000+ Buddhists. Not bad at all for the catholic church who rule Sri Lanka!
