As the others” turned a blind eye on requests on aid for development projects, the Government had to seek the assistance of China, National Freedom Front (NFF) leader and Parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa says. The observation was made at a press conference held in Colombo this afternoon (11). Weerawansa pointed out that the Government has tactically” accepted the development projects of the former regime, with its initiative to strengthen ties with China in a bid to expand the Hambantota Port and Mattala Airport. Before, they identified China as the economic hitman, but now they have changed the stance” Weerawansa added.

    Precisely!

The Yamapalanaya Govt has INDEED ACCEPTED the of the former MR-UPFA GOSL on infrastructure development and reliance on China for that development.

Gone are the accusations of CORRUPTION and calling the Hambantota port, Matt ala airport and Colombo Port City as economic mistakes riddled with corruption! It is easy to demonise everything MR-UPFA Govt did when in the political opposition without any ŕesponsibility to DELIVER, it is quite another to confront that task when in saddle AFTER the election promises have upended the economy and the security of our people! We remember well the Rs 10,000 per month salary increase for Govt employees that is now bankrupting the budget of this Yamapalanaya! BOORUWAS …. plain and simple!
