Scrap the cancerous Provincial Councils and the 13th A along with the JR- Rajeev Pact at least now and go for the Tun Sinhale and save billions of of the poor man’s money and millions of lives that will perish if you don’t do it now.

The Sirisena-Ranil Government should take full responsibility for the arrogant   behavior of the Chief Minister EP and Wigneswaran in the North as this type of things never happened prior to 2015 after the war. We must remember this is only the tip of the ice berg. Aren’t they isolated harbingers of things to come. From where have they got this extraordinary strength to rebuke and humiliate public officers in public if not from the support they get from the present Government and its leaders. Of course even Mahinda Rajapaksa  is partly responsible for this situation as he is the one who held elections for the NP and EP and created  these  demonic institutions.  How much we have agitated to scrap the 13 A and the JR-Rajeev Pact over the past 19 years. MR could have done it very easily immediately after the 2009 war and re-established the ancient Tun Rata political divisions and brought about permanent political stability to this country.  Any way let bygones be bygones. There is no point in pointing your finger at any. It is all spilt milk now. Let us at least act now act fast before everything go out of control.

We demand the Government to take immediate and stern action against these political bulls in china shops.

If the government fails to take immediate action to dissolve all provincial Councils and scrap this cancerous system and sack the two Chief Ministers and concurrently take legal action against them, the whole nation should start a nationwide mass protest against this  unwarranted behavior of these two footed political rabid animals and start a countrywide agitation for the scrapping of this system immediately before these communal Tamil and Muslim politicians convert this country into an scrambled egg.

MR failed to do many things. One was to scrap the 13A, when he had 2/3rds majority. He lived in a make believe world. He did not want to scrap the Provincial Councils, because all the Provincial Councils were infested with RATS, mostly, relatives of MR and his wife, and sons’ friends. Some were under-world thugs, some were Rapists, and he molly-coddled all of them. RESULTANT, the poor man had to pay through his nose to maintain them. They are all scum bags. Eastern Province CM has exposed his wild nature.

My point of view is that there no action of any sort will be taken against the two Rabid Dogs. People will wait till they are drowned. Don’t depend on the Sangha and the MahanaYakas. They will hibernate whilst enjoying their FRUIT BASKETS.

As long as the Over-Ripe Banana is at the steering wheel, Sri Lankans life will be in MISERY.Period.

  2. LANKAPUTHRA Says:

Dr. Sudath has been an advocate for “thun Sinhalee kramaya for a long time. This can be done but when, witch, I do not want to predict. Susantha W. Write a letter to MR at this address “MR, Carlton House, Mahavela Road, Tangalle, Sri Lanka, and see if you get a reply. The day you get a reply is the day, all what you stated will happen! I have written to him at different address but NO REPLY! One might ask why? It is because his private secretariat is full of spies. MR does not know it!

What prevents you from saying “FULLY” instead of “PARTLY” ? He did this out of GREED for COMMONWEALTH leadership. Personally he negotiated to give Chief Ministership to the Muslim bugger and no one is now even shedding a tear for poor Pillayan who is permanently in remand.

If you ask RW he will say “Oh ! I did not do this it was your boss” , so what are we supposed to say ?

As Susantha said we cannot expect RW/UNP/MY3/CBK do anything ( Like asking the devil to not to eat meat).
We must launch a full scale war against 13A ( without blaming JR , MS UNP).

I doubt Sinhalaya has the guts to retaliate the pig and the dog.

All Sinhalese should unite agaist the Indian Empire and Indian colonial parasites a one country not a divided one.

  6. Dilrook Says:

    Dear Sudath,

People will not do it because more than 85% of Sri Lankans are tied to political parties. They like sheep or cattle follow their beloved politician, right or wrong. Out of the remaining 15% of people who can think freely, most have given up on Sri Lanka while others take things as they are. Few others talk nonsense like military rule and revolution that can only worsen the situation like 1962, 1971 and 1989.

Even in this very decent and educated forum of writers and commentators, my estimate is 80% are chained to Mahinda while another 10% to Ranil leaving only 10% who can think for themselves.

This is a societal and structural tragedy of the Sri Lankan society. Unless and until we as a nation learn to treat all politicians for what they are – disposables after use – we will never improve. British imposed democracy married age-old feudal system to create a disastrous hybrid. People must not be grateful to politicians. Instead politicians must be grateful to the people. It was the people that won the war with sacrifices in lives (26,500), limbs (15,000) and money (billions of dollars for 33 years). The war victory belongs to the people, not to politicians.

This structural problem cannot be fixed. All MPs want to protect 13A. The only option available is to reverse from 13A to the Indian federal model which has checks and balances and offers much less power to minorities, ruthlessly upholds national security and puts a cap on minority demands.

Consider the absurdity of election manifestos of all major parties since 1988. They all had political solutions, some even LLRC and other rubbish that are of no worth to people in the Southern, North Western, North Central, Sabaragamuwa or Uva Provinces. Why are these voters forced to vote for this nonsense? If Sri Lanka had the Indian model, provincial political parties will emerge as in India and demand what is near and dear to them.

For instance in the south there will be a Dakshina Peramuna to cater to specific demands of the south which will shun political solutions. In upcountry, Sinhala peasants’ party to reclaim their land. In the north-central a party that demands better water supply and better healthcare. In north-western better facilities for soldier families, better support for paddy and coconut cultivation and more development. These parties will cut across UNP, SLFP, JO and JVP nonsense and unify people around one common provincial agenda. Thereafter they will extend conditional support to other parties to form a government. Political solutions will not be among them (unless TNA joins them after agreeing with them). This will produce Sinhala block votes to rival minorities.

In Sri Lanka this is happening only in the north (TNA) and east (SLMC and TNA). And they have benefitted from it.

The Indian federal model is the best punishment for all opportunistic politicians that live in India in their heads and force Sinhalas and Muslims to accept their pro-Indian and pro-US absurdities. Under the Indian federal model, Sinhalas will be able to produce a Modi or a Vajpayi or at least a Advani. Their base is regional (not national) and thinking is tied to their voters not to the international community.

As Tamils and Muslims fail to play by national politics and uphold ethnic and regional politics (and gain many favours), Sinhalese must do same or lose out. Swim in the system or sink. As stated earlier, the system has ensured it will not be radically changed. 13A made Sri Lanka a worse federal country than India.

  7. Dham Says:

    Dilrook,
Every day we spend with this government there is a grave danger that Sinhalaya will be gone forever sooner. I have no doubt once this government settle in ( probably after 2017 when SLFP leave), stability will come and economy may improve which will cement the current political advantages gained by evil minorities.
This is why I feel that NOW IS THE TIME for a full scale spring uprising. I don’t think there will be lives lost.
To do that, those accused of ( even if that is not 100% true) various crime MUST LEAVE the scene. They are the one preventing this from arising. They should step aside, letting general public lead by MONKS to take over the movement. Forces surely will join people.

  8. Dilrook Says:

Dham, of course you propose a peaceful move. But the government will project it as violent. Even the peaceful sections of the anti-13A movement was projected as violent in 1987. An army colonel was assigned the task of killing family members of army personnel and put the blame on certain groups. This regime is backed by India and USA and has some of the most ruthless killers ever to enter parliament. Two of them engaged Tamil terrorists to kill unarmed Sinhala youth. Another personally maintained a torture chamber. Therefore, it is not the noble peaceful intentions that matter but how it will be demonised and ruthlessly destroyed by the regime. For that reason, no such uprisings is advised.

The solution must not be too distant from Indian and US interests. It is unfortunate but the best possible. Another waste of valuable lives of Sinhala youth cannot be allowed under any circumstances. Sinhala interests must be achieved within the US-Indian and Chinese hegemony in the region by using flexible means. Confronting them will make Tamils the winners.

Desperate politicians of the Opposition will encourage uprisings as they did in 1987-89 to make use of another Mothers’ Front to come to power. After coming to power the Mothers’ Front was disregarded and even attacked! The 553 cases of disappearance someone had in his suitcase which was revealed to customs officials and a ready media contingent remained disregarded once he assumed power.

  9. Dham Says:

    Dilrook,
This should be a natural uprising and apolitical.
For example when I say Sangha ( sangha means a group), those political figures such as Ven. Bengamuwe nalaka, Ven. Muruttetuwe Anada etc etc, there are many monks who don’t care about political Pal Horu but care about the country and Buddhism. Vens. Ganasara and Uduwe should never join too.
This way no one can take a gun against them.

  10. plumblossom Says:

We do not need provincial councils which only promotes separatism. The provincial councils only duplicate the already existing system of ministry, district secretary, divisional secretaries, grama niladhari system which has functioned for decades. In addition, there are the municipal, urban councils and pradeshiya sabhas who elect their officials to ensure that there is local government representation and to ensure that local matters are dealt with. The ministry, district secretary, divisional secretaries, grama niladhari system is how government plans get implemented at the district, divisional and the grama niladhari level. The only thing the provincial councils do is duplicate this already existing system and is totally unnecessary. Since Sri Lanka is a small country. Therefore what is agreed at the parliamentary level in terms of plans can be implemented islandwide via the ministries. If anyone in any province wants to suggest anything innovative, they can do so via their MP at the parliamentary level. A small country such as Sri Lanka needs a strong central government and just one plan for the entire island to move forward. For this the existing ministry, district secretary, divisional secretaries, grama niladhari system is sufficient. At the local level there are the municipal, urban councils and the pradeshiya sabhas to take care of local matters.
