I am CERTAIN that the British people will keep Ranil’s recommendation uppermost in their minds as they go to the polls to vote on this crucial issue that will affect their lives far into the future! FAT HOPE!

If I were a British citizen mindful of the history of Britain, I would vote for leaving the EU …. an organization that can’t even protect its own borders, or effectively help member countries facing severe economic downturns! MANY More CONS than PROS!

Ananda, Ranil has a derived interest. If Britain exists, hundreds of thousands of Tamil refugees in Britain who are from Norway, France, etc. will have to go back to non-English speaking countries. That will force them to do menial jobs for survival. This affects a significant section of UNP voters. That is why Ranil is worried.

Agree with your decision. If British people have their interests at heart, they should exit this EU hell hole before things get worse. Syria and Libya are only the tip of the iceberg. Further unrest in Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Algeria and possibly in the entire North Africa will worsen the refugee problem.

However, from Sri Lanka’s point of view, it is still better for Britain to remain in the EU and accelerate its demographic and economic demise. More instability in the UK means less avenues to play the hypocrisy game on terrorism, minority rights, etc. Who knows the Englishmen may set a high standard for Sri Lanka to follow in this regard!

    Dilrook,

If UK remains in the EU, it will have to adopt the bleeding heart self-destructive immigration policies of the EU.

Moreover, the UK will then try to apply those same policies to Sri Lanka.

On the other hand, if British natives adopt a policy more protective of their island nation they are lily to allow the native people of the island nation of Sri Lanka.

Remaining in EU represents a subjugation of national sovereignty of the UK to the dictates of Europe, just as the current India-friendly policies of the Yamapalana GoSL represents the subjugation of our unique people to the dictates of India and a gradual loss of sovereignty.

  4. Ananda-USA Says:

Oops! I meant to say ….

…..they are likely to allow the native people of the island nation of Sri Lanka to apply similar protective policies!

  5. Dilrook Says:

    Ananda, that is true.

British are super hypocrites. But between 2 hypocritical issues (sovereignty and security), it is very easy to take a double standard on sovereignty than security. For instance while occupying Falklands Islands, Britain has the audacity to tell China to leave South China Sea islands.

On the security issue, there is far less space to move as the ban on the LTTE shows. So I’m banking on the similarity of the security issue and have no faith in any outside country for respecting Sri Lanka’s sovereignty.

Ranil is parroting what Indian in UK want. Brit Leeave or RemaIN THEY ARE kaput.

  7. Fran Diaz Says:

    * Yahap people (hasto be Exec PM Ranil, mainly)have already appointed a British person as Advisor to the Army in Lanka, last year.
    * Britain has granted a 6 Million Pds St for re-training Lanka Army.

Yahap folk have already started training FCID (False-CID !), through Britain.

What with Central Bank controlled demolition through scammer Arjun Mahendran – the crashing of Lanka has already begun !

So, Brit take over already in the making via INDIA too ??

In the end, it is Climate Change that will probably control Earthlings to respect and treasure delicate Life and turn
    inwards ?

  8. Susantha Wijesinghe Says:

PLAN TO DESTROY THE UK. NOW THEY ARE THINKING. IT NEVER STRUCK THEM, WHEN THEY PLANNED TO DESTROY SRI LANKA. WILL THEY BE OUT OF NATO TOO. GOOD, THEY WILL STOP BEING COMPLICIT IN DESTROYING OTHER COUNTRIES.
