Its a open secret in Colombo about money and UNP, COPE should also should ask son in laws’s 12 million dollar apartment purchase in Singapore.
BTW this scam is going on even MR’s days.

All these facts are so obvious that JO+JVP+ JHU should go for a impeachment of Ranil. I am sure there many UNP and SLFP ministers who are against him on this and will vote for it.

I have no idea what this guy is talking about? So the UNP is going to get a cut from the interest payments over the next 30 years.

FCID should first put Ranil behind bars and then frame the case. Ranil need to taste the same medicine. Sirisena came on a platform of clean politics and Yahapalanaya.
Though Dr Rajiva says Sirisena has integrity, I beg to differ. Sirisena got his brothers into high positions with big salaries. More than once he was caught lying. This is a man who finds out the important government business from newspapers. Best was he back stabbing of his boss who was once put on a pedestal as Maharajano. Compared to this comedy act of Rookadaya, Rajapakse has integrity more than any other politician in the land. Even the thugs of the planet, Americans are scared of the Rajapakse’s.

As per Tissa Attanayake, UNP didn’t have money to pay the electricity bills at Sirikotha (when in opposition). However, Ranil had enough money to distribute Rs 2.5 Million for each of the UNP contestant at the August elections.
Then, Ravi Karunanayake apparently is living in a five star hotel suite in Colombo where the bill is footed by Arjuna Aloysius. How come this Aloysius is so rich? Apparently this guy is a grand son of the Aloysius Mudalali who robbed Bank of Ceylon for Rs 5 Millions during Premadasa’s time and got the debt written off. So he comes from a family of crooks.
Though, a Mr Clean portrait is painted by the media for Ranil, we now know as declared by his own cousin (Dr Rajiva) that Ranil has been upto lot of underhand dealings from behind the scenes.

The presidential election required a lot of money to contest. The UNP and the opposition had no money. They got some from the Americans, England and the Europeans(especially, Norwegians). The rest was borrowed.
To pay off the borrowed money, they installed Mahendran, who was a close buddy of Ranil, and stole the required money from the Bond scam. Once things came to light, Mahendran was caught in a terrible situation. This is why Ranil is all out to get Mahendran off the hook. This is why Ranil appointed his 3 UNP hacks to clear Mahendran. Although they cleared Mahendran, they said it needed further investigation because it didnt seem right. No matter how loyal, there 3 stooges had to leave a door open to get out just in case this incident came back to haunt them. Then, the case brought in the SC was dismissed based on a technicality(not an exoneration as claimed by that other crook Kiriella).
“Mr. Clean” has every reason to protect Mahendran because “Mr. Clean” is knee deep in this scandal. Ranil is using the playbook his uncle used. His uncle used to call himself “Mr. Clean” too but had a very generous friends and family program.
It may not look like Ranil is enriching himself but lots of the ill gotten wealth goes into party coffers. In return, the party spends for his lavish lifestyle and he continues to call himself “Mr. Clean”. This is why he continued to hold on to the party leadership for 20 long losing years.
Not a bad scam. Straight from the uncle’s playbook. Unfortunately for the uncle, Premadasa was there to challenge him. Not so for Ranil. He has done one better than the uncle and stacked the central committee with his yes men. So, unlike old Premadasa, the young Premadasa is out of luck. No one to challenge “Mr. Clean” aka the Batalanda butcher.

It is possible that the Ranil led UNP leading the Yahap and the UNP’s ill gotten money will also go into a number of anti-National activities against Lanka, for instance, to buy over various MPs ?
The MPs get fancy cars (depreciating Asset) and in turn have to vote in the UNP led Programs where Lanka loses Land (appreciating Asset) to foreigners, plus get run over by foreigners (INDIA).
The UNP has a wish to sell off Lanka to foreign interests through the :
– ETCA
– Sea tunnel to Tamil Nadu (INDIA)
– 5,000 acre lots on 99 yr leases to foreigners
– New Constitution (what might that bring ??)
