Thank you so much also for the Paada Yaathra which was a great success, and is the best way for the masses of Lanka to protest on being bullied by the present Yahap people in power.
We note that the Yahap govt supporters tried hard to block the Paada Yaathra non violent march. Yahap is lost in globalised politics/economics and taking Lanka down the drain ! Their Central Bank scam was proof positive that they do not mean well by the People of Lanka and that they are inept too. They have done nothing for nearly two years, and only concentrate on FALSE accusations and taking large loans which are frittered away on luxury cars for their supporters and large pay packets, luxury travel abroad, etc. How they intend paying back these loans is obscure. They are also harrassing the ordinary people financially who have suffered greatly through the 30 yr LTTE terrorism and the Tsunami, Climate Change, FALSE War Crimes charges, downing of morale, etc.
Selling off parts of the country & public enterprises, jobs, to pay off loans is evident through :
– ETCA
– 5,000 acre lots on 99 yr leases to foreigners (Parampara leases)
– sea tunnel to Tamil Nadu
– New Constitution (what might that bring ??)
There is Global confusion on Human Rights & Human Life Values. It is time to revive life saving Value Systems everywhere, for all to Survive.

As President Mahinda Rajapaksa clearly explained, the KEY DIFFERENCE between the loans taken by his Government and the present Yahapalanaya government are:
1. The MR/UPFA government took LONG TERM loans NOT FOR CONSUMPTION SPENDING but for INVESTMENT in National Infrastructure that wold deliver a future return to the nation that far exceeds the invested amount. It is a FORVRD INVESTMENT in ENDURING LONG TERM ASSETS, not spending on short term consumption without a residual retained value.
2. The MR/UPFA government took such loans at fair interest rates and repayment terms that could be met by current government income without having to take additional loans to make the annual payments.
This is analogous to ordinary people taking out a home mortgage to buy/build a house that appreciates in value, converts the rent they previously paid into monthly payments to buy that home as a permanent asset they will finally own, provides them the freedom and stability of housing as a homeowner, and is well within their income to make the monthly mortgage payments.
This kind of borrowing is the BEST KIND for it allowd an enduring asset to be acquired and owned, something that would not be possible without taking that loan.
This is NOT taking a SHORT TERM loan out to “kaala, beela, jolli karapalla” kind of wasteful current consumption spending, but a FORCED SAVING in ACQUIRING an ENDURING PERMANENT ASSET.
IN CONTRAST, the current Yamapalana govt promised salary increases, and other perks, took vast short term loans to finance that CONSUMPTION spending, allowed various scamers, including Arjuna Mahendran, to milk the nation of its money, gave luxury autos and various perks to its new care of Ministers and MP’S who were as numerous as in the previous government, and did not recognize that they had to make the affordable periodic payments on the investmeng losns taken out by the previous government.
In other words, within a little more than 2 year of “kaala, beela, jolli karapalla” on a national credit card, they had dug themselves and the nation a deep dark hole from which they could not recover.
As an excuse, they blamed the infrastructure loans and alleged whole sale theft of funds by the previous government. Alhough that excuse goes down well with the foreign sponsors, the minorities and die-hard followers of the UNP, it cuts no ice with the international lenders, who are demanding payment and refusing to lend more money on the national credit card to service the existing loans.
As President Mahinda Rajapaksa said, now the Yamapalanaya government has to not only accept ANY and ALL CONDITIONS set by the IMF and the World Bank demands, but also agree to all the POLITICAL DEMANDS made by those Western Nations who sponsored the REGIME CHANGE. They now have Sri Lanka exactly where they want it … RIGHT IN THE CROSSHANDS of the gun.
The ONLY WAY LEFT to make ends meet now, is to.MILK THE CITIZENS, even UNBELIEVABLY as they import more luxury vehicles to placate their political cadre.
This can last only for a very short time ….. only until the S**T HITS THE FAN … as it is beginning to now!
If all that Ranil learned during his sabbaticals to the USA is REGIME CHANGE and HOW TO BANKRUPT his MOTHERKAND to make it defenceless against its foreign and internsl enemies, he has learned well and functioned as a good little foreigner’s puppet.
But, he will not survive this FIASCO and BEING LABELLED A TRAITOR by the Sri Lankan people!
