JVP does not know fundamentals of Marxist politics. They started with a bloody revolution with which it achieved only the fear of the people for its criminal excesses and the peoples’ hatred. May be there is no single family in the south of Sri Lanka which did not have a relative of theirs murdered by the JVP, or a severed head of the head of a family stuck on a stick and planted in front of the house.
There were gruesome stories one of which was that the father was taken away by a JVP man and a message was sent to the family that he would come in the evening and gave a parcel of meat saying that he wanted it prepared for dinner. The mother prepared a meat curry and rice. She made the children eat and go to bed. The mother waited for her husband, and as it was getting late she had her dinner as well and went to sleep. The following morning when she opened the door her husband’s severed head stuck on a stick had been planted in front of the house. The meat sent to the family through the JVP messenger was her own husbands flesh.
The JVP has a cruel criminal history that the Sinhala people will not forget. It was worse for the Sinhala people, than it would have been for the Tamil people in the North under terrorism. People lived in fear. When the JVPers came in the night, people blew out the lamps. They dare not open a door or a window, unless the JVP criminals surrounding the house asked them to pass their identity cards, money, gold or silver through the windows.
That is what the JVP had been and those are the indelible memories left behind in the minds of the people. Now they have different rhetoric condemning Mahinda Rajapakse and ever since the Yahapalanaya set their dirty paws in the political cake JVP did not stop their march to the office of the Commissioner for Bribery and Corruption with files accusing the Ministers of the Mahinda Rajapakse government. It is not the SLFP or the Mahinda Rajapakse Regime that was responsible for political crimes, but JVP and UNP as much as the JVP,for UNP too has its criminal past. The killing and burning Sinhala youth on heaps of tyres, and torturing and killing youth in many torture camps such as in Batalanda, by Ranil Wickramasinghe under President R.Premadasa.
JVP knows that even though there are crowds at their meetings, the people are reticent in giving them political power. The tendency will never change as the people are distancing themselves from JVP politics. Marxists know that they cannot depend on Parliamentary elections to come to power therefore if a revolution of the proletariats is not possible they should make use of the popular political party to ride on it to gain political recognition. The JVP knows it by experience as it was when it contested as a partner of the UPFA coalition that it won 39 parliamentary seats. But since they left that coalition and contested on their own or with other political parties they failed to have a respectable number of seats. At the last General election with all the pretentious rhetoric they got only 6 parliamentary seats.
The present JVP political strategy was explained by Lalakantha a senior member of JVP at a television programme in which he was interviewed. He says JVP has no trust in any of the political parties. If the JVP is to support UNP it would indirectly benefit the former President Mahinda Rajapakse, and if the JVP were to support Mahinda Rajapakse it would be to the benefit of the UNP. Therefore, the JVP is opposed to both which would enable them to prepare the ground for a third political force- which would of course be the JVP.
We saw this strategy when JVP joined forces with the capitalist UNP, the ambitious JHU, racist TNA, and the outsider who remains on the fringe to take what they can without any effort- the SLMC. Here the effort of the JVP was to defeat the Presidential candidate Mahinda Rajapakse. Since the defeat of Mahinda Rajapakse, there is a UNP-SLFP government supported by the -TNA-JVP-JHU-SLMC lead by Maithripala Sirisena as the President.
After the Presidential elections JVP was taking all measures possible to bring Mahinda Rajapakse and his family to courts accused of various malpractices to prove to the people Mahinda Rajapakse was not a patriotic people friendly politician but a rogue who was trying to accumulate wealth and allow his family members and friends to do so with various projects he initiated and carried out leaving behind a huge debt.
Wasantha Samarasinghe of the JVP is its voice against corruption, and we saw him in that role with many files accusing Rajapakse’s and his collaborators in the previous government under his arm going to the Office of the Commissioner for Bribery and Corruption making statements to media with great assurance that JVP has enough material to lock up the Rajapakses in prison. They have still failed because Rajapakses did not make money and they did a job of work for the betterment of Sri Lanka. Their work is there to be seen, a witness to posterity.
Wasantha Samarasinghe and JVP accused Rajapakses as thieves and got others of the UNP,and JHU to do so, passed judgment, and hanged them before even the courts and judges found an iota of evidence to find them guilty of any thin that had been accused of, and they are still looking for ways and means to prove the Rajapakses are thieves. All that is because the JVP and the whole of Yahapalanay know that Mahinda Rajapakse is popular and more they accuse him more he becomes popular.
JVP is spending sleepless nights thinking of ways to remove Rajapakses from the political scene so that the stage will be free for their pranks, and fool the people to make them give their votes to form a JVP government. JVP knows that UNP is in business because of the Tamils, the Muslims and the Catholics. But JVP is putting all their cards on Marxist theories to get a majority in Parliament.
In a Parliamentary democracy and in a country like Sri Lanka Marxist theories do not give desired results. The JVP’s only means to have a respectable number of representatives in the parliament is to ride on a popular political party. That too should be that of Mahinda Rajapakse and the Joint Opposition. On its own or being in a coalition with UNP, JVP will never get more than 6 seats, which is the maximum they could hope for, even if they manage to lock up” all Rajapakses
In a recent Derana TV programme where the subject of discussion was on left wing politics” the participants were Nimal Devasiri, Vasudeva Nanayakkara,Tissa Vitaharana, Lal Kantha of JVP and Pubudu Jagoda. There was lot of Marxist theories discussed to define Imperialism in modern left wing politics,but unfortunately they were far away from the political context in which Sri Lanka finds itself today.
Vasudeva Nanayakkara and Tissa Vitharan pointed out to them that while they theorise left politics as it should apply to the Sri Lankan situation, the sovereignty of Sri Lanka is being usurped by the USA, even proposing its intervention in writing a new Constitution to Sri Lanka, setting up a Naval base in Trincomalee, and acquiring six acres of prime land in Colombo to put up buildings by an American construction firm, probably to set up a military base to keep the Chinese built port city under constant survey.
The Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe is the most powerful man in Sri Lanka. The President Maithripala Sirisena only makes speeches leading a quiet life in his President’s House in fear of Ranil Wickramasinghe to whom he is indebted for his position as thr President of Sri Lanka.
President Maithripala Sirisena wanted Arjun Mahendran removed from the Central Bank and appointed a Governor of his choice. Maithripala Sirisena would have been happy as after all he had his own way despite his Prime Minister. But Ranil Wickramasinghe appointed Arjun Mahendran as his adviser taking him every where he goes.
The USA has still not given a cent to Sri Lanka for development work, but spends lot of money to make Sri Lanka a strategic American base from which to keep China and Russia in check. The President Maithripala Sirisena has even agreed to buy fighter planes, despite Sri Lanka’s dwindling finances and debt (which Yahapalanaya says is the main reason for the proposed Value Added Tax) , apparently to satisfy the demands of America through its Ambassador.
But JVP continues to call Rajapakses thieves, and that UNP is mismanaging the country and demands that they be given the country to rule. The people are already suffering under Yahapalanaya Government and see no light at the end of the darkest tunnel into which Maithripala Sirisena and Ranil Wickramasinghe have dragged the country.
The people of Sri Lanka in this predicament will never turn to JVP, but certainly to Mahinda Rajapakse and the Joint Opposition to find a safe way out.

What you have written in this article is the absolute TRUTH about the JVP and their murderous history.
They resorted to DEADLY VIOLENCE because they would not accept REJECTION of their agenda by the people; so they tried to FORCE IT on their UNWILLING people. The SINHALA people value their FREEDOMS HIGHLY, and will NEVER accept and allow themselves to be SUBJECTED BY FORCE to such despotic control.
The JVP had EQUAL ACCESS to the DEMOCRATIC PROCESS in the country to make their voews known and gain acceptance. But, having FAILED to gain ACCEPTANCE of the majority of the people they CHOSE to OVERTHROW GOVERNMENTS elected by the people by FORCE using VIOLENCE, not ONCE but TWICE!
That resulted in the death of at least one member of each family in Sri Lanka, mostly among Sinhala Buddhist families, by OFFENSIVE actions of the JVP and the DEFENSIVE retaliation by the SLFP and UNP governments, both with a mandate to maintain law and order, which at times hung in the balance teetering on a knife edge.
I lay the BLAME for what happened SQUARELY on the JVP as they CHOSE to initiate their violent VIPLAVAYA disregarding the democratic wishes of the people.
That is why, as you may often observed, I have NO SYMPATHY for the JVP, which is the Sinhala Kotiya analogous to the Tamil LTTE.
I DO NOT TRUST them, and fully expect them to exploit the current political conundrum in the country, changing alliance from the SLFP to the UNP at will in the single-minded pursuit of POWER by hook or by crook.
Like the COMMUNAL LTTE that exploits the ethnic-divide, the COMMUNIST JVP exploits the class-divide, RESORTING TO VIOLENCE at the optimal moment, to attain their goals.
The COMMUNAL LTTE will destroy the Tamils, and the COMMUNIST JVP will destroy the Sinhalas.
Neither the JVP, nor the LTTE, should be allowed to REPEAT their MURDEROUS RAMPAGES. If COUNTER-VIOLENCE is what is required to QUELL and CONTROL these murderous idealogues, so be it!

Absolute truth about the JVP is simple. It is the Indian sponsored and financed Sinhala terrorist group in the island. The JVP had lot of Sinhala youth behind them. The policies and finances came from Indian interests and Indian colonial parasites managed by the Indian intelligence service. (this is what I have read and heard) When Wijeweera arrived back in Ceylon he stayed with his former School friends at the Akbar Hall. One of his friends came to Pettah to get money from Indian Merchants. It is well documented how Somawansa Amarasinge went to England through Tamil Nadu, India. All documents and finance provided by Eswarans and other Indian merchants in Pettah.
Just look at what happened. JVP killed Sinhalese people. The government reacted to the killings and killed Sinhala JVP. Indian Empire and Indian colonial parasites are the winners.
It is the same with the Socialist movement in from the beginning. eg. N M Perera was funded by Captains.
From what I see is the Indian Empire will install an Indian (Tamil) administration in the North, East and the Hill country. A Sinhala administration lead by the JVP in the south and the rest.
Most of us are stuck in the anti US mentality, but cannot see the US Ambassador is an Indian Vermin.

The JVP caller had a list of the jewelry the house hold had. The list provided by the Sea Street Indian Merchants from whom they bought the jewelry. I know this for a fact because the JVP called a friend of mines house and called out the list. It was all what he has bought from Sea Street Indian Merchants. He had more valuable jewelry he brought from overseas and the JVP caller did not call for them.
Most of the gruesome killings were done by Tamils and other Indians who did the killings and butchering.
Even today it is India who is running the JVP.

We think that both the various govts in power during those times as well as the impatient JVP members are to be blamed.
That no serious talks were held with the JVP either by Mrs B’s Coalition govt (with the Colombo Land owner Marxists), had something to do with the shameless way JVP cadre were killed off when the JVP initially protested about JOBLESSNESS in the early 1970s, as well as the Pres Premadasa govt in the late 1980s due to JVP protests re the 13-A, is known.
Also, the govt at that time gave free Education without follow up re Jobs. The demand for Jobs by the mainly rural youth was a valid concern for them.
** The lesson here is that there ought to be Job oriented education.
** The second time – the JVP protests about the 13-A too was a valid concern. As I said before, it is ironical that most thinking people today say that the 13-A should be removed !
None of the earlier conflicts should have happened in this Buddhist country.
Lesson to be Learnt : Listen to the People. They have valid concerns.

Fact Sheet :
* Management of Huge populations are the real problem, wherever it is so.
* Need of the Hour : Sharing Resources in the most fair manner.
* Obviously, smaller over crowded countries may suffer more than larger countries, unless they get INNOVATIVE.
* Also, Countries with less Resources may suffer more than those with more resources, unless they get INNOVATIVE.
* Those countries with Resources may be attacked (one way or another) to get at resources by more powerful countries.
A few Suggestions of Things to Do :
* Give FREE birth control material to anyone who requests them – anywhere in the world.
* Introduce MEDITATION (Vipassana Bhavana or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or other types of Meditation such as Raj Yoga, etc) to schools and other public bodies.
* Introduce Human Life Value systems – practical, down to earth kindness and exchanges of ideas, etc.
* Get out the fact to the public that this Survival Game is everybody’s problem.
* Have essay competitions, Scientific ideas competitions, etc. on how large numbers can survive on limited resources.
etc. etc.

The JVP until around 2010 was an extremely patriotic political party. However after Rathu Ali Patiya or Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the traitor, took over and a few other traitors to their own motherland took over (Sunil Handunneti, Vijitha Herath, Tilvin Silva etc.) the JVP has become traitors to their own Sri Lankan people and to their own motherland and become lakcys of ultra, extreme capitalist forces and lackys of the US,UK, EU, Canada, Norway, Sweden, India (‘mankolla kalliya’ who steal other countries resources by bombing those countries) the racist TNA, the separatist terrorists etc.
The JVP is today being indirectly funded by thousands of US dollars and they are indirectly working for US imperialism. It is absolutely clear to most people. It calls itself ‘socialist’ only to hoodwink its gullible supporters in order to get those gullible supporters votes.
The US imperialists have done this elsewhere, in other countries, who resist their imperialism. They buy off small fake socialist parties indirectly with thousands of US dollars. These fake socialist parties are useful since they are there to raise some valid but not so important issues (but not at all a threat to US imperialism’s aims in the unfortunate country concerned) and hoodwink a few thousand voters to support them. In Sri Lanka the JVP, Wickramabahu and the NSSP, the FLSP they are all indirectly supportive of setting up an Eelam and indirectly supporting US imperialism. It is obvious from their actions, utterances and statements especially regarding national security, sovereignty of the country, independence, freedom. separate state, federalism, lack of any comments about the racist, fascist TNA, lack of any comments about the thousands upon thousands of Sri Lankan armed forces members and civilians massacred by the LTTE terrorists etc.
In other independently thinking countries also where the US wants to bring about ‘regime change’ the US imperialists support small fake socialist parties such as the JVP, FLSP, Wickramabahu of the NSSP. So this is not at all a surprise to anyone who has observed these world trends over many years.
In addition, NORAD wrote a detailed report about why the 2001-20014 treacherous Ranil’s Eelam project failed. There the NORAD report mentions buying off the JVP and the Hela Urumaya for future success in setting up an Eelam. that is exactly what has happened today as anyone can see.

There is absolutely no doubt about imperialistic US plans to build a US army, navy and air force base at Trincomalee. Please note that once the US builds their US army, navy and air force base at Trincomalee, they are not going to stop there. They will build other bases within the island. For example, Hambantota harbour could also end up as a US navy base and the Mattala airport a US air force base. Iranawila will again recommence their CIA operations and Palaly in the North in Jaffna will also be converted into a US air force base.
This is the main reason that the US has, from the every beginning, supported the LTTE terrorists, who are their proxy force, wage a war against Sri Lanka to set up a bogus Eelam. The US knows that the only people who are standing against them are the Sinhala people who due to they being majority Buddhist and wanting to preserve Buddhism, being the indigenous people of the island with over 2500 years of history behind them and with our tribal ancestors having over 30,000 years of history within the island and due to they being very socialist in nature and supportive of socialist ideals will never, ever let the US set up any bases in the island.
Therefore the imperialistic US, UK ,EU, Canada, Sweden, Norway and India supported the LTTE terrorists and the TNA set up their Eelam within the island for sure so that they can then set up US army, navy, air force bases within the island.
Sri Lanka lies along the world’s busiest sea route or the maritime silk road. South of Sri Lanka is a the vast Indian ocean. Sri Lanka is located at a most strategic location with the Middle East, Africa and Europe to the North West, with India to the North and with South East Asia and East Asia to the North East of Sri Lanka.
At present the US uses its Diego Garcia base extensively to subdue, bomb, decimate and dominate the rest of the world. However, due to sea level rises, low lying Diego Garcia may even be taken over by the sea. What better place therefore to build a US base than Sri Lanka? This is the reason that the US supports Eelam since sepoy, slavish LTTE, TNA will do whatever the US tells them to do. The only people standing in the way of the US building bases in Sri Lanka are the Sinhala people and they have been slapped with bogus US resolutions at the UNHRC with a view to partitioning the island and bringing on an Eelam with these constitutional changes to turn Sri Lanka into federal states or to even implement the13th amendment to the full which should never ever be implemented and no more powers should be given to the provincial councils, especially no land, police or fiscal powers should be given to the provincial councils under any circumstances. Also the concurrent list subjects should be given over to the national list.
About Trincomalee Harbour, please visit this absolutely stunningly and vast harbour and then anyone can see its potential. Already, the road from Trincomalee has been built and the roads and bridges around Trincomalee harbour has been built. There are over 99 oil tanks near the harbour. There is the existing Sri Lankan air force, army and navy bases. Trincomalee town has been refurbished. Trincomalee harbour is the world’s second largest natural harbour. It has a submarine canyon along its sea floor which is a very deep canyon along the sea floor which can accommodate submarines which then cannot be detected by radar. The harbour itself can accommodate a large fleet of ships. There is also a railwayline all the way from Colombo to Trincomalee. All the infrastructure development was completed by the previous government.
Therefore, there is no doubt that the US would want to build a US army, navy, airbase at Trincomalee. For that they only need an Eelam or federal state and this treacherous Ranil, Sirisena, CBK and Mangala will make sure that happens since they have accepted the bogus US resolution at the UNHRC and placed our armed forces in deep trouble when our armed forces are totally not guilty but the LTTE war criminals are now suddenly totally innocent of all the war crimes that the LTTE terrorists committed for over three decades. Also all Sri Lankans should totally oppose implementing the 13th amendment to the full or any more powers being given to the provincial councils than they have at present. Especially no land, police or fiscal powers should be given to the provincial councils under any circumstances. Also the concurrent list subjects should be given over to the national list.

The JVP was extremely patriotic especially during 1987 when they campaigned against the infamous Indo-Lanka Accord and was at the forefront of the patriotic struggle to rescue Sri Lanka from being dismembered by India and imperialistic forces led by the US, UK, EU, Canada, Sweden, Norway etc. and the TNA and the LTTE terrorists led by Prabhakaran. The JVP was so patriotic that they fully supported UPFA governments to keep Sri Lanka’s unitary status and to preserve Sri Lanka’s independence and freedom and worked towards social justice and was again at the forefront of opposing totally the separatist terrorists. The JVP even went to court to nullify the illegal merging of the North and the East.
However from 2010 onwards, after Rathu Ali Patiya or Anura Kumara Dissanayake took over, the JVP has become a treacherous party who have become lackeys of ultra capitalists such as the UNP the US, UK, EU, Canada, Sweden, Norway imperialists, the racist TNA and the separatist terrorists. The JVP today is totally working against the interests of the Sri Lankan people and is being treacherous to its own motherland and this is having a very deleterious effect on Sri Lanka as a country.
