Let this man stay a s real man. What he says is he said he can’t do it in front of so many people. That is all.
I ask these hooligan “journos” what do you expect him to say ? What do YOU want ?
1. Do you want to show Sri Lanka is a rogue country which should be ruled by India ,USA, Australia ?
2. Do you want him do discredit SF ?
3. Do you respect Prabakaran ?
4. Do you want to show SF better than KG or KG better than SF ?
5. Do you want to create a unnecessary friction between two people ?
6. Do you want everyone in our country to fight with each other ?
He answered these questions with Class even though the interviewer kept constantly trying to force him to take a political stance.
Apparently Sarath Fonseka yesterday had said that he himself is writing a book about the war and that ‘some people’ have written books giving a false view of what happened.
Field Marshal Fonseka should learn about Character and Class from the subordinates that he oversaw during his military career. He can learn a lot.
There is a dangerous legal aspect to it. Photographic evidence clearly shows VP was in his terrorist uniform which implies he was fighting. He was not playing the civilian card. He was not in any military uniform. LTTE uniform is different and is not a military uniform.
I’m wondering if Fonseka made that request out of a wrong judgement that VP was wearing a “military” uniform (he did not) or did he attempt to frame soldiers involved by donning the dead terrorist in civilian clothes with the implication that he was not fighting (as visible to the army). Fonseka’s other unwise statements in July 2009 and January 2010 caused immense damage to the army.

Yes. There are photos of body of Prabhakaran in his underwear, which is not a military uniform.

If by any chance general Kamal agreed and changed Pirabha’s cloths to civilian cloths, they could claim another civilian death.
