This is how Tamil Diaspora and their supporters are helping anti-Sinhala Tamil politicians like C.V. Wigneswaren in Sri Lanka to gain international recognition for their future homeland – Eelam..

While our Sinhala politicians (of all parties..), are busy with their petty politics and in-fighting for power, perks, etc., Tamils and their supporters are working relentlessly to advance their dream.  The Tamils to their credit, have exploited every opportunity, especially by the Tamil Diaspora communities in the West, to advance their cause by using their propaganda through main-stream media and social media, etc.

In the mean time, our diplomatic missions abroad (especially in Canada), seem utterly incapable of approaching the media, law makers, etc., to enlighten them with current positive steps taken by the GOSL to help ethnic minorities through on-going reconciliation efforts. One of the biggest weaknesses of any Sri Lankan government so far, has been its inability to use its foreign missions effectively to counter some of the very damaging and false propaganda carried out by the pro-LTTE forces, especially in the West.  Even the present regime which came to power promising to overhaul the missions and use it to counter Tamil propaganda effectively, has failed completely.  And, still keep sending their relatives and friends to the foreign missions – as nepotism and corruptions continue unabated – as usual.

Sadly, Sinhalese and their leaders seem so far removed from the reality, as they seem clueless, and ignorant of what’s happening, in or out of the country.  They have nobody to blame but themselves for their stupidity, and inherent inability to see the big picture, as the country rapidly marches towards its destruction, thanks to our selfish, corrupted, braindead leaders, and to their equally naïve and ignorant supporters.

MARKHAM, ON – December 21, 2016 – On November 30, 2016, Markham City Council passed a motion to enter into an agreement of friendship with Mullaitivu, Northern Province, Sri Lanka. This is the Mullaitivu’s first friendship agreement with a Canadian municipality.

Markham is the most diverse municipality in the country, and our Tamil community has played an important role in our continued growth and prosperity,” says Mayor Frank Scarpitti. This agreement signals our continued commitment to the South Asian community and our shared economic growth and prosperity – in Canada and around the world.”

The friendship agreement ceremony will be part of the City’s annual Thai Pongal celebrations in 2017. Thai Pongal is a global Tamil celebration of the harvest and the new moon (New Year). There are more than 30,000 Markham residents of Tamil origin,” says Ward 7 Councillor Logan Kanapathi, the first Tamil-Canadian to be elected to any municipal council. For many years, they have been an integral part of every aspect of this community, from owning businesses to volunteering on boards to organizing cultural events. This friendship agreement strengthens the City’s ties with the Tamil community as well as helping build an even stronger Markham. ”
