Rajapaksa says his govt never decided to sell Hambantota port

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa today rejected allegations that the decision to sell the Hambantota Port was first made during his government in 2014 and asserted that while he was in power they only took back what was already sold.
We never decided to sell anything during our time. I took back what had been sold. I can list all that we got back,” he told reporters after attending the Avurudu celebrations of the Carlton Preschool in Maligawatta.
He stated that what his government wanted was establishing a company for the port and split the shares with the foreign investor while holding on to the administration side of the port.
We wanted to create a company and give its shares to both parties and keep the administration with the government. The administration was always with us.”
Responding to a question regarding bringing international courts to Sri Lanka, he stated that there is no need for an international court as the judiciary here is more than enough for the government to get what it wants”.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa TELLS THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH!
He NEVER SOLD a MAJORITY STAKE and ADMINISTRATIVE CONTROL in the Hambantota Port like the Yamapalanaya!
Within a corporate strucure with shares he gave only 40% equity to China and kept ALL ASPECTS of Administrative and Legal Control and MAJORITY OWNERSHIP (60%) in Sri Lanka’s hands!
Those are the ACTIONS of A REAL PATRIOT: Create from NOTHING a National Asset using foreign funds, give ONLY 40% equity to China to raise the funds for it, RETAIN MAJORITY OWNERSHIP, and Administrative Control and Legal Jurisdiction maintaining SOVEREIGNTY in Sri Lankan hands!
Why can’t these YAMAPALANA DESHADROHIYAS learn from President Mahinda Rajapaksa?
After ALL OF THE DEMONIZATION OF China before the elections, they are SO EAGER TO SELL all of the country’s assets to China jeopardizing even Sri Lanka’s Sovereignty!
MAJORITY STAKE in National Assets and land, and their Administrative and Legal Control, should NEVER be given to ANY FOREIGN COUNTRY!
That is GOOD GOVERNANCE 101!
NOTHING about this CROOKED PARA-GATHI Yamapalanaya KALLIYA can be TRUSTED! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

As Ananda says, Pres Rajapakse had GOOD GOVERNANCE, and PATRIOTIC GOVERNANCE.
After crashing the country with the CB Bond Scam, Yahap wants to sell the country off in various ways, including the H’thota Harbour, which was earning good money under the Rajapakse Govt.
Yahap govt has a ‘Crash & Sell’ idea of governance – in a word, most UNPATRIOTIC !!
