THE PERFIDY OF THE KDU INVITE. NO SHAME AT ALL, REALLY, NONE WHATSOEVER
Posted on April 1st, 2017
1. They want to make sure that no person with even a modicum of integrity or self respect would join the army anymore, and that all future armed campaigns/wars if any, would be lost as a result.
2. They want to completely destroy the army’s reputation for an eternity, and the average soldier’s morale to boot.
3. They want to make sure that now that there is no war, the army would be known alternately, not for having fighting men and true warriors — but for having standup comedians and comics, or simple clowns, who think nothing of inviting their own destroyers, to enable their own destruction.
The Rajpal Abeynayake Column
But seriously, it is unlikely that the army top brass per se invited this palpable anti-people agitprop agent as the chief guest. (See links below for confirmation if you need any. There is much more evidence of this person’s anti Sri Lankan advocacy, but what’s linked here would suffice for the moment.)
This is a guy who has constantly maintained that the Sri Lankan Army committed excesses etc. and that an an international investigation with foreign judges should be the way to set about post war retribution, which his ilk has conveniently and cynically labelled ‘reconciliation’.
Of course we all know that the current Sri Lankan ‘Yahapalana’ government specializes in rubbing the faces of our valiant soldier heroes in the sand.
In fact they specialize in rubbing the faces of all Sri Lankans in the sand.
This dispensation also seems to like getting the country molested at will by all sorts of ghouls representing rapacious foreign interests — and others allied to these foreign interests. However this latest stunt stinks to high heaven and beyond. Inviting this zero-integrity character to be the Chief Guest at an army inauguration event is akin to inviting the fox to grace the Hen Party,
Or asking Jack the Ripper to be the Chief Guest at a Women’s Welfare Conference.
It’s not time for jesting of course. Seriously, don’t these people – the inviters and the invited have no sense of shame at all? NO SENSE OF SHAME AT ALL?
We doubt the Army per se did the inviting anyway. Somebody obviously did the inviting for the Army, and that was somebody the army which is in the process of getting its collective face rubbed in the sand, could obviously not say no to.
Really doesn’t anybody concerned with this stinking affair have no sense of shame whatsoever?
Answer: No they DO NOT
Of course the army would now probably be made to write to all and sundry saying ‘we did the inviting on our own’. Well, we know the meaning of the word coercion.
Also, the million dollar question in all of this is, doesn’t the man who was invited not have a smidgen of shame, going before an army he denigrated so viciously — and baring his teeth in a grin? This man must have the hide of a rhinoceros.
A post script: There would no doubt be the usual culprits who would want to sanitize the man and his antics, and the recent case of this ignoble invite, and paint us as victimizers and the Paikiasothys of this world as victims.
Such perfidy doesn’t impress us.
