By now you have seen a fire in Badulle -Garbage Dump and Airforce has to be mobilised ,We saw the mayhem to Jaela when the residents  seized the road transportation by blocking Colombo Negombo Road ( luckily we have Airport Highway ,hence access to airport was not blocked .

Meethotamulle garbage mount is growing and rain is at the door step ,Whole area will start stinking .Methane Gas accumulated   underneath may explode like in Salawa  if hot weather continues

Army ,Airforce  ,Navy and police  will have to move in .State wants to shift the garbage mount somewhere like Muthurajawela .Good Christian neighbours of Jaela will block Elakanda Road and set fire to CMC lorries ,Again law enforcement authorities will have to come to rescue .

We have two options

Under a presidential order shift all dry garbage to Port City and cover with sand

Or

Transport dry garbage to Muthurajawela  200 acres and fill with layers of sand an garbage .

If environmentalist go to courts fight back claiming a national emergency .

We need Martial Law of Emergency like we had during JVP garbage and LTTE stink”

If Philipine president goes on rampage to get rid of Drug Menace why cannot our President do the same

I am sure that Cardinal and Buddhist Clergy will approve above

Unquote

Today Clergy with the Christians in the area have mobilised to stop garbage vehicles arriving in Bopitiya to dump garbage           (as predicted !)  and armed forces have forcibly dumped them

Finally President decided to declare garbage disposal as an essential service thus allowing forces to take any action to implement the Executive order

I have said earlier that we are moving towards anarchy .We cannot allow this to happen

Declare emergency for 2 months and solve the problem Mt President please .

Stop listening to these so called brainy ministers and chief ministers and listen to technocrats please

    Muthurajawela wetlands cannot be destroyed.
Shouldn’t act like anarchy to solve this problem.

  2. AnuD Says:

MEthane can be collected dried and used as cooking gas.

Looks like Indian appointed Sirisena is going to declare Emergency using garbage issue to welcome Emperor Modi. Sarath you are supporting Indian Empire.

Dumping unsorted loose garbage anywhere is only going to create more problems.

What about the Indian Colonial Parasites who run Colombo and occupy Colombo are Indian Colonial Parasites. They will kill Sinhalese be they are Buddhists, Muslims or Christians. They will use guns to garbage.

Why not tap the methane for the generation of electricity?
Such a project is entitled to Carbon Credit.
This is a report on such a project in China,
“Beijing, July 5, 2007 – The World Bank has signed its first
greenhouse gas reductions agreement in China from a landfill gas
project. The Shuangkou Landfill Gas Project located in Tianjin
Municipality will recover landfill gas from the Shuangkou landfill and
utilize the recovered gas for electricity generation.

The landfill was the first modern sanitary landfill in Tianjin and
receives an average of 800-1000 tons of household waste a day. By the
end of 2006 more than 1.6 million tons of household waste had been
landfilled. The project developer, Tianjin Clean Energy and
Environmental Engineering Company Ltd (TCEE) will collect landfill
gas, half of it methane which has 21 times the global warming
potential of carbon dioxide, with the other half made up of carbon
dioxide and other gases. It will generate electricity by installing a
landfill gas collection system, an electricity generation system and a
gas flaring system on site. Under the agreement signed with the World
Bank, TCEE will sell 635,000 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent
greenhouse gas emission reductions to the Spanish Carbon Fund managed”
This writer brought this to the notice of the authorities and the noisy environmentalists.
    As usual nothing happened.
    by the World Bank.

Please ignore the last words -by the World Bank.
