Very good. This is what I have to say too but I have been prevented saying this, that is, ‘poeple cannot be fooled nowadays.’. Thsi time people have learned more. They will never again vote for the ‘less evil’. Therefore good lesson to those who want to win votes. You cannot be successful by paying web sites operators, the cold blooded snakes who are fueling this ‘fooling process’.

Anyone worshipping Thirupathy Lingam ( Pa-ya or Pa–ya in Sinhala as explained by tution master MP Bandula) cannot be a Buddhist. Buddhists should REJECT them completely.
Actually, Vasudeve Nanayakkara may be right in this instant. He called the wroshippers with proper name in the parliament without fear.
All Buddhists recite ‘Nathhi-May Saranang Anngam – Buddho may Saranam Waranm ” also “Dhammo’ and ‘Sangho may sasarnam waram’ in Pali. This means I have no other refuge other than Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha.
Now, may I ask, why can’t they hang on to Buddha , Dhamma, Sangha ONLY. Forever , Buddhist need only this refuge.
Surely they don’t worship Jesus and “Moha(Ignorance in Pali)Mud”. Then why this P–yya worshipping ?
There is only ONE reason. There is no ERASING of PAPA KAMMA in Buddhism. This is why king Rajasinghe who killed his father started getting rid of Buddhism.
Therfore , ther is no doubt, all these P–ya worshippers are PAL HORU. They have a lot of crime which cannot be erased according to Buddhism. So, they need other ‘Saranam Gacchaami’.
But , they need not worry. Even Angulimala became an Arahant after killing 999 people. There is always HOPE in Buddhism. But there are no easy way out. There is no other religion that can match Buddhism in ‘wroking hard’ against odds. But these PAL HORU do not wnat to be Arahants. They want to remain as Robbers.

Most of the political deals in India are discussed in Hindu Temples. Same in the Indian colonies. Where did Ranil stay and Sirisena stays? There are Indian administrators of the colony Sri Lanka staying with them.

Sickening to say the least from a Buddhist perspective. When you represent as the leader of a Buddhist country you don’t prostrate on the bare floor of a Kovil in a foreign country bringing shame & insult to us as Buddhists. How do we ordinary folks face them? It’s all stupidity & ignorance. Well said, Mahinda was no better.
On the other hand is there more than that meets the eye here, are all these junkets really for the worship or are they just a façade to meet the Indian counterparts to close up deals done behind the back, I wonder.

charithsls, what about the present one? He often goes their with his family.
The first time he went there, the Key to the temple broke inside the key hole.
Another time he went there, he was in a very unsafe position inside an abandoned
car as the chauffer of that car too had gone to worship the temple leaving the car unattended.
By looking at the faces of the couple inside the car in that incident, anyone can guess that the current
one learnt what Baya is in his life.
