There cannot be several versions of it. Those who know what comprises the Bondgate Report are the Commissioners who executed the Bondgate Commission. It is People’s money that was used to carry out the Commission of Inquiry and therefore the Commissioners headed by the Supreme Court Justice KT Chitrasiri has a right to let the nation know what constitutes the Bondgate Report including all annexures.

If they think at the current moment some of the information is too sensitive to be divulged and that it can compromise future legal proceedings, then they can just let us know in very broad terms what is not be divulged in subject terms and the total extent of the report, number of  pages or other descriptive way to enable the nation know what exactly constituted the final report. EVERY PAGE, EVERY PARAGRAPH, EVERY SENTENCE, EVERY WORD, EVERY COMMA AND EVERY FULL STOP ARE SACROSANCT TO THE PEOPLE OF SRI LANKA FOR THEY PAID FOR ITS COMPILATION AND THEY PAY A PRICE THAT AFFECT THEIR LIVELYHOOD EVERY SINGLE DAY BECAUSE OF THE BOND SCAM.

The nation has no faith in any politician red, blue or green including the President himself for they have lied to the people time and time again.

There is no point in lengthy arguments at the parliament about what constitutes the Bondgate Report. All that the real opposition parliamentarians have to say is that their parliamentary debate is based on the whole of the report submitted and all it contains including those not made public. Parliamentarians being the people’s representatives, should have the right to call any person for questioning or so I believe.

We the people hope that the elected representatives will take it upon themselves to leave ‘no stone unturned’ in divulging to the nation the names of all those who are implicated pending court trials later on. IT IS NOW UP TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL TO INSTITUTE COURT PROCEEDINGS BASED ON THE FINDINGS OF THE FIRST COPE REPORT, SECOND COPE REPORT AND FINALLY THE COMMISSION OF INQUIRY REPORT. PEOPLE OF SRI LANKA EXPECTS THE ATTORNEY GENERAL TO DO HIS DUTY OR RECUSE HIMSELF IF HE THINKS HE IS PERSONALLY IMPLICATED IN ANYWAY TO DELAY PROCEEDINGS. IF SO HE SHOULD ALLOW OTHERS MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE AND INDEPENDENT TO FOLLOW UP WITH FURTHER INVESTIGATIONS AND COURT PROCEEDINGS. ALL MUST KNOW ONE DAY THE COOKIE CRUMBLES!

In the US the Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from the investigation of Russian involvement in – US Election when he thought he is himself was compromised in some ways.

Since what has been stolen are  public funds for the enrichment of a few individuals and this dark enterprise has had deleterious effects on the economy, the savings of employees, increased taxes, increased interest rates and losses in terms of the devaluation of the Rupee and thereby increased payments to foreign lenders, it is incumbent on the powers that be to keep the people informed at every stage what took place and the culpability of those involved and what laws of the country they have contravened.

President Sirisena cannot take authorship for the Bond Report. He only did what he had to do failing many attempts to allow the culprits to hide and not face scrutiny. He must take responsibility to safeguarding his Prime Minister on his own admission. It was only after he was driven to the ‘wall’ by the incessant public pressure and the relentless media onslaught to divulge the truth behind greatest robbery in the history of Sri Lanka and perhaps in the world where a Central Bank of a country was used to siphon off profits from public funds employing insider privileged information and government connections. The deleterious effect this scam caused affects each and every Lankan in Sri Lanka and those who have invested in Sri Lanka, whether local or foreign. The perpetrators have brought disrepute to our primary financial institution and all this happened within the first 50 days of a government that came promising Good Governance – Yahapalanaya.

WHEN ONE LOOKS CLOSELY AT THE TIMELINE OF HOW THE SCAM CAME INTO BEING, IT IS OBVIOUS IT WAS PREPLANNED AND THE FINGER PRINTS OF THE PRIME MINISTER OF THE COUNTRY AS WELL AS HIS CLOSE CONFINDANTES ARE ALL OVER IT.

HOWEVER, THE BRAZEN AND IDIOTIC WAY IT WAS EXECUTED MAKES EVEN PICKPOCKETERS LAUGH, FOR NO SOONER IT WAS CARRIED OUT THE PUBLIC CAME TO KNOW ABOUT IT. ONLY SUPER CONFIDENT RIGHT ‘ROYAL’ IDIOTS COULD HAVE BUNGLED IT THE WAY IT HAPPENED.

THE CULPABILITY OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE COUNTRY IN ALLOWING A SECOND SCAM EVEN LARGER THAN THE FIRST ONE TO TAKE PLACE ON 29^TH AND 31^ST OF MARCH 2016 SHOWS EITHER NAIVETE OR HIS HALF HEARTED COLLUSION IN THE SCAM ARISING FROM HIS GRATITUDE FOR BEING ELEVATED TO SUCH SUBLIME  AND HEADY HEIGHTS AS PRESIDENT OF SRI LANKA.

NO AMOUT OF ‘CHEST BEATING’ BY THE PRESIDENT IN FRONT OF RURAL CROWDS CAN HIDE HIS LACK OF STATESMANSHIP, FOR CURRENTLY HE IS SIMPLY DRIVEN BY SIMPLE HATRED AND RAGE AGAINST HIS ONE TIME BOSS – MAHINDA RAJAPAKSE!

HE DIDN’T EXPECT TO BE THE PRESIDENT OF SRI LANKA, HE DOESN’T DESERVE TO BE THE PRESIDENT OF SRI LANKA, HE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO DESTROY SRI LANKA FOR THE SIMPLE MAN HE IS HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING! HE SIMPLY DOESN’T KNOW WHETHER HE IS ‘COMING OR GOING’ UNLESS HE FINDS IT FROM THE NEWSPAPERS!
