අගමැති රනිල් වික‍්‍රමසිංහ මහතා මූලික කරගත් එක්සත් ජාතික පක්‍ෂය නෙරපා දමමින් එක්සත් ජනතා නිදහස් සන්ධාන ආණ්ඩුවක් බිහි කිරීම සදහා පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේ ආසන 113ක බහුතර බලය පෙන්වීම සදහා වන ලිපියට අත්සන් ගැනීම ආරම්භ වී තිබේ.
මෙහ් පළමු අත්සන ඇමති නිමල් සිරිපාලද සිල්වා මහතා විසින් තබා ඇති අතර පිහිටවනු ලබන අලූත් සන්ධාන ආණ්ඩුවේ අගමැති ධුරය ඔහුට හිමිවනු ඇතැයි වාර්තා වෙයි. ඒ වෙනුවෙන් පිලිගැනීමේ උත්සව සූදානම් කරන්නැයිද ඔහු විසින් බදුල්ල දිස්ත‍්‍රික්කයේ සිය දේශපාලන ක‍්‍රියාකාරීන්ටද දන්වා ඇති අතර ඇමතිවරයා අද දිනයේ විශේෂ ආගමික වැඩසටහන් කිහිපයකටද එක් විය.
ලයිස්තුවේ දෙවැනි අත්සන ඇමති එස්.බී. දිසානායක මහතා විසින් තබා ඇති අතර තුන්වැනි අත්සන ඇමති ජෝන් සෙනෙවිරත්න මහතා විසින් තබා තිබේ.
ඇමති දයාසිරි ජයසේකර මහතාගේ නිවසේ සිට අත්සන් ලබා ගනිමින් ඇත.
ශ‍්‍රී ලංකා නිදහස් පක්‍ෂයේ ආණ්ඩුවේ සිටින සියළු දෙනා විසින් අත්සන් තැබෙන මෙම ලයිස්තුව හෙට පෙරවරුව වන විට ඒකාබද්ද විපක්‍ෂයේ සිටින සියළු මන්ත‍්‍රීවරුන්ද අත්සන් කිරීමට නියමිතය.
ඒ අනුව අත්මන් 96 කින් යුතු වන ලයිස්තුවේ 113ක බහුතරය පෙන්වීම සදහා එක්ත් ජාතික පක්‍ෂයේ හා වෙනත් පක්‍ෂවල පිරිසකගේ අත්සන් ලබා ගැනීම සිදුවනු ඇති අතර පස්වරුව වන විට ජනාධිපතිවරයා වෙත එය බාර දී සන්ධාන ආණ්ඩුවක් පිහිටුවීම සදහා අනුමැතිය ඉල්ලා සිටීමට සූදානම් වෙමින් ඇත.

Even though some of the SLFP Ministers leading this effort makes MY STOMACH RETCH, it is FAR BETTER than the DANGEROUS alternative of a UNP-ONLY government CONTINUING, PROVIDED IT IS AGREED that this is ONLY a CARETAKER GOVERNMENT until General Elections are held EARLY in a FEW MONTHS as President Mahinda Rajapaksa and the SLPP DEMANDS on the basid of the VOTERS VERDICT of Feb 10, 2018!

Sri Lanka Minister Sagala Ratnayake decides to resign from law& Order portfolio

Feb 15, Colombo: Sri Lanka’s Minister of Law and Order and Southern Development Sagala Ratnayake has decided to resign from his Law & Order portfolio.
Minister Ratnayake in his official Facebook post said he is prepared to do the best of his ability for the sake of the party.
Following is his statement:
“Short while ago, I informed the party (UNP) parliamentary group that I have no intention to retain as the Law and Order Minister further.
I informed the Prime Minister that I will not hesitate to sacrifice any position for the United National Party and I am prepared to do the best of my ability for the benefit of the party.
I further informed the party’s parliamentary group that while this is a personal decision I take to strengthen the party at this time, my loyalty to the party will remain strong and I am ready to unreservedly perform any other duty in any other capacity given to me by the party leadership to serve the people.”

Sri Lanka President to launch a broad program against corruption, fraud and waste

Feb 15, Colombo: Sri Lanka President Maithripala Sirisena said he will launch a broad national program against corruption, fraud and waste within the next two weeks.
The President said he will gather together all Sri Lanka Freedom party (SLFP) candidates who gained victory as well as those who did not and commence the program of serving the people.
He expressed these views at a meeting held this evening at the President’s House with the candidates who contested the local government elections representing the political parties to which the President gave his leadership. SLFP electorate and district organizers also participated in the meeting.
The President declared that he will not leave any candidate who was defeated and get them to become his representatives in developing the village.
He said it is the responsibility of everybody to take forward a strong political and development procedure while correcting the shortcomings based on the experience obtained at the past local government elections.
The President said that working without corruption, fraud and waste was given priority in the regional politics, local government politics and provincial politics.
He said that everyone contested has a common objective and no one should regret the results. They must not be shaken with awakening and interest should be to engage in future politics further.
The President assured that those who won will be provided with the required financial resources to develop their areas. He made it clear that the money will be provided without shortcoming for development.

CWC MP sworn in as Deputy Minister of Primary Industries

Feb 15, Colombo: Nuwara Eliya District parliamentarian and the President of the Ceylon Workers’ Congress Muthu Sivalingam has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Primary Industries.
He was sworn in as the Deputy Minister before President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat, today (15).
During a meeting with the President yesterday Ceylon Workers Congress (CWC) leader MP Arumugam Thondaman along with a delegation from his party has pledged to cooperate with the President, according to media reports.

If Sirisena at last gets serious about prosecuting and eliminating the corrupt, I’m happy for the nation. I can’t care less about politicians. My only concern is the nation. The nation enourmously benefits if large scale corrupt politicians are elimimated from the scene. This is what 51% of the people (6.2 million) voted for Sirisena for and this is what they separately re-emphasesed in August 2015 (6.2 million) and in February 2018 (6.2 million). Voters have decisively rejected the individual parts.
At the very least now, when defeat and possibly far worse consequences face Sirisena on his face, he must wake up from his slumber. He has all the incentives to do so!
Resignation of Sagala is long overdue. FCID comes under his ministry. Very few were prosecuted and very few cases made it to courts. This process must speed up. CIABOC and PRECIFAC reports must also convert into court cases soon. Murder investigations including Lasantha (some action is now happening at last), etc. must be completed.
UNP should kick out its unpatriotic and unwinnable leader and replace him with a young, capable and relatively more patriotic leader. Hopefully the 2019 presidential election will be between Generation X candidates and they should lead all parties. The last generational transfer of power happened a generation ago in 1994. It is time for the next transition.

This will not happen. Resignation of Sagala is an artful deception by the duo to confuse people further. We can see how Field Marshal or anyone else close to them will handle law and order for the rest of the current parliament’s tenure. The robbing of people’s money and assets will continue.

I’m confused about MR.
Before the election MR said he is a MEMBER of the SLFP and he will NEVER leave it. He gets MP benefit thanks to his SLFP membership.
After the election MR says he WON when SLPP won.
So which party are you MR? SLPP or SLFP?

I raised my both hands to any party who form a govt against my bitter enemy UNP but I do not like pohottuwa have anything to do with Mr. Hopper except giving poltical support for limited period of time. Mr. Hopper cannot be trusted at all. He is a traitor and the darling of Ranil, Chandrika west and the Indian parasites therefore we have to deal with him very carefully. JO should never take up any positions except stay as before in the opposition and fights for the sinhala buddhists rights rather than minority rights. We are the oppressed in our own country. We need to go forward not backward as these yamaballo are taking us at the moment. We need to make our country great again under the leadership of Mahinda Rajapaksa our sinhala son who fought the LTTE devil and won. We urge Mahinda to stay in the course and fight fearlessly until victory. Let the pohottuwa bloom until it becomes a beautiful flower and bring peace to our Motherland.
