This is the vision Sri Lanka needs. An economic vision above all. We had too many uneducated leaders and lawyers at the top. It’s time to bring someone with economic understanding (as we don’t have popular politicians with economics formal education).

According to Lankacnews, he has left for China’s Yunnan University of finance and economics to pursue studies in fiscal management and economics. I have maintained for sometime the next Lankan leader must be conversant in economic concepts, theory and practice. Best of luck. The first priority of the next Lankan leader is not to fight off Tamil or Muslim extremists but to salvage the nation from the debt trap it is in since 2012. If the nation remains in the debt trap, Tamil and Muslim extremists will simply buy what is valuable in the nation at fire-sale prices without going to war.

It appears that the ‘new world wars’ are happening on theh sphere of Economics !
Are Lanka leaders prepared ?
Will RW’s “Crash & Sell” program be allowed to prevail ? If so, some type of neo-colonisation of Lanka will happen and will likely spell the end of the country.
We wish great good luck to Gota with his moves to safeguard the Nation.

A leader with a vision that’s what we need to go forward. A strong no nonsense leader with high hopes. We all should wish him good luck and a healthy life. I think all peace loving people in this country should rally behind him and support his vision to become the next president of Sri Lanka. He made us proud by eliminating the most vicious terrorist organisation in the world and also made Colombo the cleanest city in the world during his tenure in office in the last government. We all know his capabilities therefore without any hesitation we should support his vision and the leadership.

Agree with Ranjith 100%
Gotabhaya is the ONLY visionary, patriotic leader who can save SL from the current disaster created by the present idiotic and moronic regime.
Our nation desperately needs a brave leader who understands new global economic and political order, the geo-politics that affect our country, and how to navigate the nation, without breaking down it along the ethnic, religious, and social lines that seem to be promoted by some local and foreign forces, with the help of the current regime.
It’s extremely important that majority of Sri Lankans, regardless of their ethnic, religious, and social backgrounds realise that no one is going to benefit by hanging onto failed and divisive politics of yesterday. This was one of the prime reasons why our country is in such a pathetic state, run by selfish, power hungry politicians of all political parties.
The current political and parliamentary system is broken, corrupted and dysfunctional to say the least. One only has to look at the parliament today to see what a bunch of buffoons run this circus..!
Unless we elect a visionary, and a firm patriotic leader like Gotabhaya we can kiss our country goodbye. I hope our people will realise this sooner, rather than later, which will be too late.
