Tamil MP’s Dangerous Talk about Reviving The LTTE

State Minister of Child Affairs Vijayakala Maheswaran has had the audacity make a public statement to the effect that “the LTTE needs to be revived ‘ which is a mind boggling suggestion by her that is not only treasonous but also a violation which points to a suggested breach in National Security and incitement to the Tamil people to help re – organize the LTTE and calls for a full investigation.
There should be zero tolerance towards such irresponsible people especially those holding public office .It is treasonous as it suggests a revival of the malefecient terror group which almost destroyed the Nation but was quelled and annihilated with the brave and concerted efforts of a forceful President and his Armed Forces.
She has said in a public statement obviously with no decorum , insight nor intelligence that quote –
” It is seen that there is a huge need of reorganization of the LTTE in the North and East, while addressing the ‘Janapathi Nila Mehewara’ event at the Weerasingham Hall in Jaffna.
She has said that “reports relating to traces of LTTE reorganizing are heard regularly as a result of the people in the North and the East not willing to discard the LTTE from their hearts”. However it needs to be said that it could well be an expression of her own sentiments where she has no right to such, as it portrays her as an LTTE sympathiser where her puerile dogma is plainly visible and should never be tolerated remembering the attrocities of the LTTE.
She also saysNow we remember how we lived before May 18, 2009. In the present conditions our main intention is to bring back the LTTE If we want to live, if we want to walk freely, if we need our children to attend schools and return back.,” which has a touch of ingratitude to it considering how well the Tamils of Sri Lanka are treated today and perhaps a misinterpretation on her part where she takes kindness for weakness.
She pointed out that a 6-year-old child had been raped and killed and now people feel why they appointed the present President into power.” a whole collection of worthless albeit typical LTTE jargon without a semblance of related truth to it beyond speculation and innuendo where the perpetrators of such attrocities could well be LTTE supporters.
She said that they ( presumably the Tamils) had committed a lot to appoint the President ( food for thought indeed ! ! ) and despite not protecting the people, he is working to protect party matters.
She also questioned the development carried out in the last three years in the North and East. We do not know what development they have done in our area. But I only thank the Government for one good thing and that is to release and return our lands to us. Other than that the Government had done nothing to us,” she has said quite blatantly disregarding the full compliment of grants and considerations which have been extended to the Tamils as an accepted part of Sri Lanka’s infrastructure.
She also said ” being a minister in the present administration there is a limit that she can speak against their leader but had to cross the limit on some occasions” probably without realising that she has already commited herself to an indictable offence violating the laws of the land and more than crossing the limit to openly support and call for the recussitation of the LTTE.
While it has been known for some time now that there are sources like the TNA and some underground covert operations attempting to revitalize the extinct LTTE, which hopefully they will fail miserably the Government has a responsibility towards the people of Sri Lanka that this debacle will be prevented as the Nation undergoes development of a phenomenal scale and rapid growth which needs to be recognized by all her citizens regardless of someone in the manner of an errant dog barking at the moon which is what the rhetoric of Vijayakala Maheswaran is tantamount to and it could cost her dearly ! !

She is doing the marketing work for Gota ha ha..
However, the Yahaps are under pressure to take an action this time. They did not do anything on Viggie’s heroics. this time, Vijaykala is of the ruling party.

I cannot believe that these words of a call for the return of the LTTE were uttered by none other than the State Minister for “CHILD AFFAIRS”. The LTTE is globally accepted for their efficiency in abduction and recruitment of underage children for their military cause against the SL Govt. and its Defense Forces. These children were subjected to torture and other cruel means to get them into the mindset of supporting the LTTE cause that was little understood by these innocents, who were thus transformed by the LTTE’s psychological interventions to be the bearers of death to innocent residents of nearby Sinhala villages including pregnant women and children (e.g., Kebithigollawa massacre) and for laying roadside explosives etc., and for other terrorist methodologies, as well as to serve the higher-ups in the LTTE military’s hierarchy.
Vidyakala Maheshwaran being in charge of Child Affairs in the North especially, must surely be knowledgeable about all the heinous crimes the LTTE conducted against their own Tamil children…all in the name of a concocted cause for which the current Tamil leaders who still adhere to the Vaddukoddai Resolution as their credo, have neither apologized to their own people let alone the nation, nor shown any atonement towards or a retraction of their vows to the Vaddukoddai Resolution which gets uttered from time to time especially before elections…. a grim reminder to the Tamil community of their own sad participation in a misled political cause that has resulted in enormous psychological damage to their own People.

Vijayakala Maheswaran’s call for RESURRECTION of the LTTE is OUTRIGHT TREASON and INCITES terrorism.
As the UNP Minister of Child Welfare and a Tamil WELL AWARE of the ENSLAVEMENT and VIOLATION of CHILDREN practiced on a MASSIVE SCALE by the LTTE, she is COMPLETELY HYPOCRITICAL when she ADVOCATES the RESURRECTION of the LTTE! Therefore, SHE IS COMPLETELY UNFIT to hold this Ministerial Portfolio or ANY OTHER position in government.
Furthermore, this statement arises in a background of INCREASING LTTE activism, discovery of weapons of war in the possesion of former LTTE cadre, public support for the LTTE and a SEPARATE EELAM in the North and East by Tamil leaders of like mind including Sambandan (Leader of the Opposition and the Tamil National Alliance), Sumanthiran (Attorney and MP), Vigneswaran (former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Chief Minister of the Northern Province, and now a VOCAL EXPONENT of separatism, and Sivajilingam (Probhakaran’s brother-in-law). In other words, this is an attempt to AGGRAVATE & INCITE public support of the Tamil population foer the LTTE with the intention of calling for a SEPARATE STATE OF EELAM in the not too DISTANT FUTURE with the aid of the Tamil DIASPORA, Tamil Nadu nationalists, and their WESTERN BACKERS aligned against China.
They are getting to be FRANTIC at the PROSPECT of a LANDSLIDE VICTORY for the Patriotic Forces of Sri Lanka in the next TWO ELECTIONS, and the LOSS of EVERYTHING they hoped to accomplish through the YAMAPALANA GOVERNMENT. They see the WRITIONG ON THE WALL and are PREPARING for a UNILATERAL DECLARATION of INDEPENDENCE!
The RESPONSE to Vijayakala Maheswaran’s TREASON should be taken at FOUR LEVELS:
1. Impeach & Expelo her from her position as a Member of Parliament. The basis is that an MP’s oath taken at swearing-in requires an MP to UPHOLD the National Constitution. She has VIOLATED that OATH. The person RESPONSIBLE for doing this is the Speaker of the House, currently Karu Jayasuriya.
2. She should be EXPELLED from Membership of the UNP as having VIOLATED the Constitution of the UNP. If the UNP FAILS to EXPEL her, then the UNP by default CONDONES and becomes PARTY to that TREASON. The persons responsible for doing that are the General Secretary of the UNP, and its Executive Committee, headed by the President of the UNP Ranil Wickramasinghe.
3. The Department of Justice of Sri Lanka, and the Attorney General as the operational executive should ARREST, INDICT, PROSECUTE and CONVICT Vijayakala Maheswaran under the Laws of the Constitution that prohibits TREASON and the Protection Against Terrorism Act (POTA). The TREASON Laws mandate a MINIMUM sentence of 7 years in prison.
4. Upon CONVICTION in the Courts, Vijayakala Maheswaran should be STRIPPED of her Sri Lankan citizenship, and STRIPPED of her citizenship rights upto and including disqualification from holding ANY PUBLIC OFFICE in general, and Membership in the Parliament in particular.
Indeed, these SAME STEPS, in appropriate forms, should be taken AGAINST ALL THOSE Tamil Politicians mentioned above for their TREASONOUS PRONOUNCEMENTS and SUPPORT for Tamil SEPARATISM in the distant and recent past!

I once predicted that giving any leeway to LTTE supportives like the TNA will result in many covert attempts to recussitate them and here is proof- only, it is not covert but very open where there surely is a TNA link to the brazen arrogance this woman has shown in making such statements.

Sunil Mahattaya comes from a generation that knows very well the tenets of sarcasm and how best to interpret it.What Hiranthe has alluded to here is far removed from sarcasm.It is a subtle endorsement of a concept which is totally nation unfriendly and seethingly aggravating in her choice of words. Surprisingly or not the many aggravated responses prove this as it has raised many concerns. Perhaps it is indeed an eye opener! !
