ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s primate population was responsible for destroying crops and contributed to a recent shortage of coconuts that resulted in dizzy prices, President Maithripala Sirisena said yesterday.
About 35 (100) percent of Sri Lankan crops ( economy) were ( is) destroyed by animals ( MPs.) , the president said adding that monkeys ( MP,s) were are the leading predators ( of economy) ahead of elephants, wild boar and peacocks
One of the doctor-specialist with sense of humour , recently held a party at his residence for his batch-mates in the medical college .Many came from abroad who have left Sri Lanka after getting their free education from the pennies /cents- people like me paid to the government coffers to educate them ?)
This doctor sent a map of the location of his house near the parliament .With his sense of humour he sent a map of his route ( may be via Whatdapp) and marked landmarks in his map .
Location of the Parliament was marked with a picture of a
He should also have inserted a picture of a Predator in the invitation card to depict the doctor friend.( very appropriate when you read about the same specialist with GMOA trying to go on strike against charging income tax for his earnings milked from desperate people . This tax is due to the people who have spent their tax money to educate them )
.Back to Monkeys ………..
Monkeys also jump from one tree to another, ruin crops .behave irrationally and disturb day to day life of the people and MPs’s do the same
It started nicely in January 2015 where even HE was waiting on the traffic jam until traffic lights turn green.
Allocation of escort vehicles were limited to MP’,s and ministers .
Baton waiving policeman driving /flying past frustrated drivers and commuters and threatening the public- if you show your frowned face- were much less for a short period .
We also see how these monkeys ( donkeys) in the mad house behave in front of school children. We also see some ministers and deputy ministers running amok in the jungle trying to teach elephants how to behave .
( Government should give a scholarship to the girl who came to pay respect to the father who was killed by a wild elephant before going for Grade 5 scholarship )
Rather than driving in Safari vehicles in the jungle trying to drive away the elephants.these ministers should donate their salaries to the family
( The salary increase MP’s are seeking may be for that purpose ?)
Now the search light aiming at monkeys whose land is encroached by the two legged donkeys? ( and Wild asses ) like us ?
This is the state of affairs in the Monkey Kingdom ( watch this Hollywood movie to see analogue between monkeys and humans )
