Everything from matchbox to coffin is imported – JO

The current government has arrived at a point where they influence on what the public should consume, says the Joint Opposition.
MP Shehan Semasinghe stated this at a press conference held in Colombo today (25).
A statement made by the Prime Minister recently, it was confirmed that the incumbent government doesn’t have an economic policy and has failed to develop the economy, says Semasinghe.
MP Sisira Jayakody, who also attended the press conference, stated that the Sri Lankan Rupee depreciates by Rs 1.50 every month.
He also said that everything from the match box to the coffin is imported.
