The north and the south cannot be bridged politically. It is futile attempting it.

The north will remain Tamil only forever. Try changing that first. Until then, forget about reconciliation in the north. Reconciliation in the south means only Sinhalese making more and more sacrifices and compromises while Tamils freeload. It is a one way street.

Am I allowed to express my disagreement with Dilrook here ?
We need not be that pessimistic. Whilst religions may play a part, that alone cannot do it.
First and foremost, law and order has to be established from top to bottom.
What divides North and South is the great dirty canal of corruption. It cannot be bridged founded on blind trust given to politicians or on soft ground of religion. It should be hard piled to deep rock of LAW, common to all.

I agree with Dilrook We have to get rid of the TNA or make them unpopulr amoung the Tamils. It is impossible as Tamils are head to foot Tamilians and do not want any thing to do with the Sinhala. But they will willingly accept the generosity of the Sinhala without giving nothing in return either gratitude, or acceptance of the Sinhala as their compatriots.

The Sinhala should try to leave the Tamils alone. No Tamil civilian in Sri Lanka has said a word about the Armed Forces helping them during the flood, considering it as the duty of the Armed Forces. The most stupid, foolish and ungrateful old Wigneswaran says that the Armed Forces helped the Tamils to escape from War Criminal Charge levelled at them bvy the USA and the West.
