NEVER WRITE OFF SRI LANKAN CRICKET-SRI LANKA TO REPEAT HISTORY IN WORLD CUP

Just before in 1996, if anyone said Sri Lanka will beat Australia in world cup final, those comments would have gone into the dust bin.
We now have talented fighters, experienced in all 3 forms of cricket. Our pool is strong, technically competent. Compared with many other nations, Sri Lanka has at least won the World Cup Cricket once and came almost winning the second time if not for the Adam Gilcrest Squash Ball cheating!
Our players always need not have name tags of Kalpage, Jayasuriya, Romesh, Mahanama, Aravinda, Arjuna, Upul Chandana, Darmasena, Murali.. Since 1996 we had names such as: Mahela, Kumar, Murali, Vass etc. but did we win any world cup?
Our team needs meditation, motivation. Our coach can be anyone, it does not matter. Steve Waugh learned cricket in his back yard, so all Sri Lankans learn cricket in the back yard and nearby parks.
We only know one thing: When ball is delivered, hii it hard if it is the right ball. The problem is trying to apply this concept for each delivery.
My Sri Lanka will be , next World Cup Winners under Dimuth Karunaratne and Niroshan Dickwella.

We all hope the same MDP. Because of political fingering only our cricket has faced this pathetic situation. Those who play thinking only of money should be removed from the team whether good or bad. Country must come first. If they play to win the whole country is with them and celebrate together but if they continuously losing games then there must be something behind it. We have a very talented young cricketers around the country but unfortunately they are not given a chance because of favouritsm from the top management. We should give a thorough training for the selected team who will face the world cup. They shouldn’t be allowed to late night parties and outings. They should be kept in the cricket academy with strict rules until the world cup is over. Try about 25-30 players and at the end select the best. Danushka,Asela,Dickwella,Kusal janith,Dananjaya,Mendis must be in the team to have some excitement and few young fast bowlers and some good spinners who can turn the tables in a match. We need to give them proper training for one year continuously with strict rules. They should stop all their extra activities and concentrate only on cricket. Cricket was our main food those days but not anymore. Get united and make a good team to bring glory back to our nation for all of us to celebrate.
