   That can be done by voting for anyone (Sajith, Gotabaya, Anura, Mahesh, etc.).

   On the other hand, no matter who wins Ranil will be the PM until the parliament is dissolved. This is because Ranil has most support in parliament, not anyone else. Another October 26, 2018 cannot be done. It is illegal.

   2020 budget will be very interesting. If UNP loses the presidential election, it will not allocate a sufficient budget for the president. A statement of account to replace the budget cannot be done because the parliament will not approve it.

   What is the big problem about ending RW rule ? He didn’t even have a rule. Even Sajith defeated him.
   Whatever rule he had will end after March. You don’t need a new president to do that, even the old president can do it.

   In fact Sirisena is ruling , with the Ministry of National Security and Police. Whatever the bad RW has done has been done collectively ( with the signature of Sirisena). This includes appointment of Mahendran and Governors like Hizbullah and Asaad Salley. This includes jailing Nalaka Silva who was going after Saharaan.

   Even if our armed forces are as big and equipped as Australia or oil money as former Iraq, we cannot do it. Power of the Gun and a Sadaam couldn’t do it.

   What is important and urgent is to get rid of Federal Constitution and the provisions which allow minorities to discriminate the majority. Who is promising it ?
