Ududumbara Kashyapa Thera who staged a fast unto death campaign against the signing of the Millennium Challenge Cooperation Agreement says that he has no faith in the letters he received from the Prime Minister’s Office and the NDF Presidential Candidate Sajith Premadasa.

The Thera who called off the campaign at the Independence Square last night held a media conference today.

The Thera was requested by several factions including the Maha Sangha, but he insisted that he needed assurance in writing to do so.

At the same time, UNP former General Secretary Tissa Attanayake handed over two letters to the Thera, one from the Prime Minister’s Office and the other from NDF Candidate Sajith Premadasa.
