Several areas of Beruwala and Kandy, previously declared isolated areas over COVID-19, are reopened for the public from today (03).

Pannila and Cheenakotuwa in Beruwala and Akrurana in Kandy were marked as isolated areas due to the high risk of COVID-19 infection.

No persons were allowed to enter or leave the aforementioned areas.

However, the isolation imposed on the areas has been lifted and the areas are reopened for the public, said the Commander of the Army Shavendra Silva.
