Three fresh COVID-19 cases move tally to 1,883.

Three more persons have tested positive for COVID-19 as at 5.30 pm today (13), the Ministry of Health confirmed.

Two of them are Sri Lankan expatriates who returned to the island from Qatar. They are being quarantined at the facilities in Ampara.

The other patient is a naval person at the Mullaitivu quarantine centre, according to the Department of Government Information.

Thereby, the total number of novel coronavirus patients count moved to 1,883.

Meanwhile, COVID-19 recoveries in Sri Lanka increased to 1,252 earlier today as 56 more patients regained health.

They had been receiving treatment at the Infectious Disease Hospital (10), Welikanda Base Hospital (02), Colombo East Base Hospital (01), Iranawila Hospital (16), Kattankudy Base Hospital (07), Welisara Navy Hospital (09), Homagama Base Hospital (07), Minuwangoda Base Hospital (03) and Hambantota District General Hospital (01).

Accordingly, the active cases under medical care now stand at 620.

Sri Lanka has confirmed 11 deaths due to the COVID-19 so far.
