I was listening to the talk of two venerable monks over Sirasa a little while ago. I am in full agreement with one: He says the medics who should take decisions by law are nowhere to be seen, while the other seemed to be pea brained.

With or without the vaccines we will eventually come out of this and not everybody will die, the fittest will survive. But the thing is this is a fight against an invisible virus; not a fight against men. So, the one who is fully empowered to do the job should take the leadership with consultations of his medical team. And the military should give full assistance for him to do the job.

I think both India and SL are in the same boat; in India Modi wants to build his palace when his people are struggling to live without oxygen supply at the beds. Looking at this scenario perhaps this corona may even be a blessing in disguise. If not for it, the Indians would have ended as slaves of their leader.

So, can we not consider the 20,000 or so that has been estimated to give their lives to Corona, ur invisible enemy, by September as martyrs?.
