A battle between the forces of Dark & Light.

A.A.M.NIZAM Matara.

The UNP after being continuously rejected by the people in eleven elections attempted to stage a parliamentary coup with terrorist proxy parties and the Dirty Dozen of the PA. The President giving due recognition to the people's verdict at the last general election forced them to stand for elections. This has given the people the opportunity to decide whether this country should be handed over to a consortium of terrorist proxies, loan sharks, racketeers, turncoats, renegades, mass-murderers, underworld Mafiosis, communal chauvinists, and unpatriotic alien minded anti national elements. Or once again renew the trust in a political formation intending to strengthen peace and harmony, disallow revival of the massacre of politically sound innocent southern youth, and govern with non-confrontational concord between the centre and the provincial, urban and village administration units.

The multi-faceted opposition consortium has entered into many MOUs and the parties concerned have divergent contradictory aims and objectives. The Northern Tamil Parties had clustered into one group at the behest of the megalomaniac terrorist leader. This group has publicly proclaimed that "the Tamil parties' alliance was formed to muster support for the freedom-struggle of the Tigers in and out of parliament to give full support for the terrorists who are involved in what they call a freedom struggle". Their main demands include a halt to the war and lifting the ban on the LTTE.

Another constituent in this unholy union is the insatiable rapacious Rauf Hakeem whose ludicrous demands of creating ethno-centric enclaves would imperil the national unity and Sinhala-Muslim harmony. The damage done to the country by the PA fugitives and their dishonesty needs no elaboration. Let alone the UNP stalwarts, even the borderline UNPers feel ashamed and jittery of their party's abject submission to these highly corrupt imposters. One of these fugitives once advocated that Parliament should be shut down, opposition parties should be disbanded, minority parties should be wiped out, courts should be closed down, and for many other such hallucinate propositions. Perhaps these objectives may be part of UNP's hidden MOU with these fugitives in order to impose a one party dictatorship that was the sole aim of J.R.Jayawardene.

The other dangerous and anti national element of the consortium is the underworld Mafiosi led by loan sharks, drug peddlers and money launders. This is a gang of individuals who have no moral values, social concern, religious norms, and national consciousness. They neither respect their parents nor their children. They worship only money and power and would eliminate anyone and anything that hinder their path. This factor was explicitly made obvious with the flight of PA fugitives to the opposition when steps were taken through PA/JVP arrangement to bring legislation to apprehend the loan sharks.

This could be the most decisive election in the Sri Lankan history, which has become a battle between the dark reactionary forces committed to communally based segregation of this tiny island and the forces of the light seeking to uphold the national unity and territorial integrity. A battle between mass corruption represented by three storeyed four roomed castle builders, racketeers, jungle eaters and their ilk and patriotic forces who could not be bought over even for several hundred millions. A battle between the forces of mass murderers represented by Batalanda Ghosts and Death Squad Drs. attempting to revive their killing frenzy of innocent southern youth and the forces of sane politicians committed to protect and promote the political rights of the youth. People's unity devoid of party, caste creed and other parochial interests to defeat segregation, mass plundering, death squad culture is very vital in this decisive election.
