TAMIL PARTY ALIANCE WANTS TO CHANGE THE IMAGE OF THE LTTE FROM TERRORISTS AND CHILD MOLESTERS TO FREEDOM FIGHTERS -Suresh PremachandranBy Walter Jayawardhana reporting from Los AngelesPressure will be brought upon the international community to recognize the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, now branded as terrorists by many countries in the world and employers of child soldiers by human rights organizations and the United Nations, as freedom fighters said leader of the Eelam People's Revolutionary Front (EPRLF) Suresh Premachandran, reported the LTTE controlled website Eelamnation The EPRLF leader was describing the ambitions of the Tamil Alliance formed at the behest of Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam few weeks ago. According to the Eelamnation, Premachandran also promised that Tamil Alliance leaders would not accept any ministerial positions by joining what he called "Sinhala chauvinist" parties. He did not name the chauvinist parties. Suresh, also a candidate of the Tamil Alliance, at the forthcoming general elections said the new party alliance of four Tamil political parties was a turning point of what he called the liberation struggle of the Tamils led by the Liberation Tigers. The new party alliance, and its leaders and the LTTE call the secessionist movement to dismember Sri Lanka and carve out an exclusive "home land" for the Tamils in the Northern and Eastern provinces of the country as the liberation struggle. Premachandran according to Eelamnation said , the four party alliance which, has been selected as the only political group that is good for voting by the rebel group , has named the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam as the sole representatives of the Sri Lanka Tamil people in any discussion regarding the conflict in the island nation in the future. LTTE has warned that those voters who vote for candidates unapproved by them would be reprimanded. After December 05 general election the government should lift the ban on the terrorist group and lift the ban on certain goods imposed on LTTE controlled areas, the EPRLF leader insisted. The ban of goods, according to the government, has been imposed to stop the fortification of the LTTE as a military power. Premachandran reminded that the Tamil Alliance political parties have signed the accord with the understanding that "whoever disturbs the alliance after and before the election will be eliminated under their accepted procedure". Premachandran did not describe how the disturbers would be eliminated or what is the procedure of elimination. But LTTE front organizations had earlier indicated that those who disagreed with the master plan of the Tigers would be shot. Premachandran, according to the LTTE website, also accused the Tamil groups People's Liberation Organization of Tamil Eelam(PLOTE) and Eelam People's Democratic Party (EPDP) of working in aid of the Sri Lanka Army against the wishes of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam.
