I have received through a friend of mine the hollow e-mail message being sent by you as an appeal to the voters, which blame all political parties and politicians except you the self proclaimed puritan for the ills of this country. Your criticism of others is symbolical to the prawn calling itself "mama Sudda (I am the cleanest)", and the crab telling others that they cannot walk straight. You blame them for promoting party and personal interests relegating the core issues to the backstage.

Prior to your unceremonial and meritorious dismissal from the P.A.Cabinet whose interest you were promoting even at the risk of imperiling the centuries old Sinhala-Muslim amity?

The posts of Ambassadors, Governors, Chairmen/Directors of Corporations, Ministerial Posts in the Provincial Councils were to promote whose interests?

Can you deny the fact that these demands were made to enrich your specific in-Laws, relatives and your political sycophants and not at all in the National or Muslim interest?

You confirm the existence of political alliances with the UNP and states achievement of peace, inter communal harmony and accelerating economic and social development are some of your key slogans at the forthcoming elections (mere slogans and not objectives or commitments?).

You fail to spell out the demands you have made for entering this unholy alliance which include the Tamil Parties Alliance publicly claiming that they are representing and promote the LTTE. How can a party calling itself a Muslim party join an alliance committed to help LTTE which had brutally massacred thousands of innocent Muslims, even those who were at prayers, and made nearly 100,000 of them refugees and destitutes.

The ethnic cleansing of the Muslim and Sinhala population in the East too will certainly become a reality under your unholy alliance's pet proposal of North East interim administration to be offered to your machan Prabakharan. Further, do you agree to the lifting of ban on the LTTE and withdrawal of our valiant soldiers from the war zone as being demanded by Maheswarans, Chandrasekarans, Pararajasinghams and Sambandans in your alliance?

Surprisingly you are the only person who claims to be a leader of a party and contesting as a candidate of a different party. Don't you trust your own party? Here too you have given preference to your personal interests betraying your own party because you are not certain of getting even the paltry 27000 odd votes you obtained in the last election if you contested from your own party. You have found a safe haven in the traditional Muslim UNP votes of the Kandy district (Harispattuwa, Gampola, Galagedera, Udunuwara etc.) to return to parliament.

May you receive Allah's guidance in this blessed Holy Month of Ramadhan.
