WAKE UP CANADA

As I watched the TV unfolding the Magnitude of Horrific Scenes of destruction of the Twin Towers of The World Trade Centre, The Pentagon and the loss of thousands of lives, my thoughts went back to the recent Tamil Tiger Terrorists attack on the Air Force Base and the International Airport in Colombo Sri Lanka.

A recent article which appeared in the National Post, a Canadian News Paper asked the question, Quote" Jean Chretien's Liberal Government is doing little to prevent groups linked to foreign terrorists from raising funds in Canada. Our Country's lax policy facilitates bloodshed abroad and subjects Canadian immigrants to the strong-arm tactics of local fund raisers. This is especially apparent among Tamil Canadians, where death threats and extortion are routine etc etc. The Sri Lankan Government estimates the Tigers raise about $120 million a year, up to a quarter of that in Canada". End Quote.

In Sri Lanka, of the locals employed in the Canadian High Commission, only the receptionist is a Sinhalese, the rest of the local employees are all Tamils. It is rumoured, that for $2000.00, one can obtain a genuine Visa to enter Canada. Of the NGO's operating in Sri Lanka, 90% of it's employees are from the Tamil Community.

Serious Pressure should be brought upon Canada and other governments who helps to foster terrorist organisations. Paramount necessity for concerted action by the International Community for the suppression of Terrorism should be the immediate issue that World Leaders should address without reservation. USA and Britain should bring pressure on the Canadian Government to Ban all recognised Terrorist Organisations, one of which is the LTTE, a Terrorist Group which is looked upon with benevolence by no less than it's Finance Minister Paul Martin and Minister for International Development, Maria Mina. These two Ministers who openly support the LTTE and call the opposition MP's racists, should be stripped of their portfolios and expelled from Politics.

Wake Up CANADA, it is time you woke up from Rip Wan Winkle deep slumber and join the world community in taking stringent measures to eradicate Terrorism. Your failure to take immediate action to draft required legislature to ban Terrorist Organisations from operating in Canada will only construe that The Canadian Government is working Hand in Glove with Terrorist Organisations and a is threat to the world, especially to it's immediate neighbour, The United States of America
