The freedom that we, is much better than the past. Remember the people burnt on tyres, remember the battalanda torture chambers = do you have it now. Did you have the freedom of speech that you have today. Will the JVP today talk of democracy today if we look into the past of what happened to them? Will the media have the freedom that they have today, remember what happened to the photographer who photographed the wife of one president at a netball match? Do we want it to happen today or in the future? Were you consulted by way of referendum for the formation of the present constitution? Did you honestly approve the Executive Presidency and the proportional representational system in parliament today? The reason for instability in our country today? The answer is no, it was forced on us and we are reaping what was done then. Do you remember who supported the LTTE ? the answer is all of us. because we voted to people who supported them? You may ask me how. let me explain

When General Densil Kobbakaduwa was on the verge of destroying the LTTE the LTTE got the support of the Indian Government of Rajiv Gahdhi who invaded the Srilankan Airspace and dropped food (what guarantee do we have that food was dropped. were it not urgent arms for the LTTE to fight the Government of Srilanka) forcing JR to sign a treaty with India., were you consulted on this the answer is NO. why was the amendment to the constitution then passed, it was because of the greed of power by the peoples representatives then, who had given undated resignation letters to the then president. Then come the next president who tried to undo his predecessor by trying to send back the Indian Army who was virtually destablising the LTTE, He gave them Money, Weapons et.c, etc., and eventually sent them back ,my dear what happened to him ? terrible isn't it? Then comes the next election, The LTTE feared the most favoured Gamini Dissinayake ? why was he killed, because he was likely to end this curse we are going through today ? they supported Chandrika whom they thought would be easy to manipulate and their dreams come true. Sad to say to the LTTE that there expectation have failed, because of the plight they are today. Their finances (bank balances frozen, banned from the super powers who once supported them and repeaing what they have sowed today ? and trying to do what they have being doing before? It's better later than never. ) Do you know that the LTTE controls the economy of Srilanka today? 1. The LTTE has shares in Several Companies in Colombo today. They have invested in Properties in Colombo? . They control the Share Market in Srilanka today ? . The LTTE today is in desperate situation, the world is against them, their funds frozen, etc., etc, and the Srilankan Government is keen to kill them? What's their solution, to destablise the Government in Control at any cost? It's definitely with millions if not
