PEACE TALKS AND NON TAMIL COMMUNITY RIGHTS

The Tamil community in Sri Lanka has sacrificed lifes and blood for the past several years to get their rights and finally it has come to a state where the Tamils to settle their problem with government of Sri Lanka by negotiations. But at this critical point a non Tamil minority community is trying hard to claim rights at the talks between the Tamils and government of Sri Lanka which cannot be allowed. Also this might lead to a total failure of the entire peace process which we all might have to regret eventually.

If they have any problems in terms of rights or privileges they should talk direct to the government of Sri Lanka and not at Thailand peace talks which is meant only for the Tamils and their problems. There are enough powerful ministers of this community (unlike the Tamil MPs who are good for nothing to represent their community which lead to creation of Pirabakaran) in the governments whether it is UNP or SLFP since independence given to Sri Lanka.
These ministers should talk to the government of Sir Lanka,
resolve the non Tamil community problems, instead of insisting to participate in Thailand talks for rights and being the prime cause for the peace talks failure.

We have to wait and see how the government of Sri Lanka will diplomatically say that Thailand talks are only meant for Tamils and the government of Sri Lanka, not for the non Tamil communities. If the government to allow these unwanted elements who wants achieve personal gains, show the world they are also looking for rights (when enjoying more privileges than the country's majority community in real life) and ensure the failure of the peace talks which will lead the entire country to a irrecoverable disaster for generations.
