GIVE PEACE A CHANCE - In memory of John Lennon.

ALLOW PEACE TO FOSTER. BUT ONE PIECE AT A TIME!

Hudson McLean

As said earlier, Sinhala as a nation and as people have survived 3000 years. Mistakes were done and whilst some bagged riches, the poor paid the price.

Sinhala have learnt sad but expensive lessons like during the past 20 or so years, but still a bundle of gamblers. A good example is the current PM.

Although many are of the opinion that the deal with the LTTE was entered in haste to grab the Crown, the international community has witnessed a smooth transition of power. That is a full credit to the Sinhala PM.

Although the LTTE leader tried to give the impression of a statesman, he failed. He looked more like a "Loss Leader!" That is a marketing term.

It is a known fact that the LTTE is moving their cadres in numbers to safe houses down South and even buying into marriage with the Sinhala to complete the " T(amil) Plantation", whilst they unload their cargof potential destruction in the North East coastline.

Whilst Ranil Wickramesinghe is planning his ultimate strategy to pave his way into Presidency when the Madam vacates her seat due to legislative demand, it is interesting to watch what steps Anura B would take to maintain the family bloodline to the Throne.

At this point, the LTTE card will be exposed to Earth, Wind and Fire. If and when LTTE decided to enter the fray with Fire, then the other superpowers on this Earth will move like the Monsoon Wind to end the LTTE ambitions for another century or so!

In the meantime, let the Prudence of the Sinhala govern. Allow Peace to foster but One Piece at a time!
