Tiger - Blind Mice

The Blind Mice and the Brad Raccoon
Whilst the President continues to alert the Nation against possible
unleashing of terror by Tamil Tiger terrorists, the three blind mice
Ranil, Milinda and GL continue to grope and grovel towards elusive peace.
Bradman Weerakoon, the mouthpiece of the three blind mice, responded
to Balasinham's bluster on LTTE's recent withdrawal from the peace process
with a meek gem of his own, "we will be in due course looking into
all legitimate issues raised in Bala's letter".
No wonder the good citizens of Sri Lanka consider Bradman (Brad to his
friends) indeed 'Batty'. But then again our reluctant hero, 'Batty"
may have the skills and senses of a Bat (Nycticeius humeralis), the
common Sri Lankan Ma Wawula. The ability to see in the dark is a quintessential
asset when one is faced with the challenging task of assisting the Three
Blind Mice, Ranil, Milinda and GL.
The Ranil Wickremesinghe lead government has to take full responsibility
for creating the necessary environment and providing the essential infrastructure
for establishing the brutal terrorist outfit, the LTTE as a credible
entity. Aided by the biased Norwegians, the Three Blind Mice (with weeRaccoon
providing side support) have forced Sri Lanka, a proud nation with a
written history of over 2500 years close to the brink of disintegration.
Whilst the country's sovereignty is being threatened by the LTTE's proposal
to legitimise its clandestine Navy, the UNF government continues to
adopt a "she will be all right, mate" stance totally in sink
and in character with the behaviour of mice, especially three blind
mice.
It is time for patriotic citizens of Lanka to take umbrage and demur.
The Growling Tiger
The UNF government's surreptitious signing of the MoU with the Tiger
terrorists primarily served two purposes. Firstly it equated the democratically
elected Government of Sri Lanka with the LTTE, a terrorist organisation
banned in many countries including the United Kingdom, Australia, India
and the United States of America. Secondly it gave the LTTE terrorists
a similar status to that enjoyed by Sri Lanka's armed forces. Whilst
Sri Lanka's armed forces are accountable for its conduct to the President
and the government Prabakaran and his marauding band of terrorists are
accountable to no one.
The accountability issue, the biased hand wringing apologetic behaviour
of the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission and the def, dumb and blind status
of our Three Blind Mice have encouraged the clandestine behaviour of
the LTTE.
They continue to violate the MoU and thumb their noses at the international
community with impunity. In particular, the LTTE continue to:
(1) Murder Sinhala and Muslim civilians living in the Eastern Province.
The Island newspaper of 23 April 2003 reports the assassination of a
Muslim woman and a man, and subsequent decapitating of the body and
the removal of the dead man's head by the LTTE in the Selvanagar area
under the purview of the Serunuwara police station. This action is the
follow-up to LTTE's uncivilised activities in Muttur, where it killed
3 Muslim citizens and badly injured scores of people last week;
(2) Kidnap and murder members of the armed forces associated with the
'Long Range Deep Penetration Unit';
(3) Abduct children to strengthen their terrorist outfits; and
(4) Deprive the peaceful citizens living in Tiger controlled areas in
the North and East from receiving basic food and medical services provided
by the government of Sri Lanka
Whilst the guns are formally silent in accordance with the MoU, the
LTTE continues to wage war surreptitiously. It has cleverly used the
hiatus provided by the MoU to strengthen its military capability, paraded
its murderers as 'leaders of substance', established a defacto state
in areas under their control by providing police, judiciary and banking
facilities and legitimised its racist views as 'aspirations for embracing
democracy'.
By continuing to promote their racist aspirations, namely:
(1)Recognition of Tamil dominated areas as constituting a nation;
(2)Acceptance of the right to self determination; and
(3)Consideration of the North and East of Sri Lanka as the traditional
homeland of the Tamil people
the LTTE has refused to move one iota from its original position supporting
secession.
By placing the UNF government in an impossible position, the LTTE continues
to mark time until it garners further international favours prior to
seeking separation. The Tiger continues to growl in thirst of Sinhala,
Tamil and Muslim blood.
The Three Blind Mice
Today, LTTE driven anarchy dominates life in the North and East of Sri
Lanka. Recently, a co-founder of the Liberal Party of Sri Lanka described
the LTTE as a "fascist, violent, intransigent and anti-democratic
political entity committed to formation of a separate state in Sri Lanka".
They consider the LTTE to be incapable of transition from a militant,
terrorist organisation to a democratic political party. Expatriate patriotic
organisations committed to re-establishing democracy in Sri Lanka such
as SPUR in Australia, FOSUS in the USA, CSLAT in Canada and the Pacific
Alliance for Peace in Sri Lanka have continued to lobby foreign governments,
the President and the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, the opposition political
parties such as the PA, JVP, Sihala Urumaya and the NJC to unite in
their actions to combat the terrorist curse infecting Sri Lanka's democracy.
Whilst most of the patriotic organisations and the simple citizens of
Sri Lanka recognise the dangers posed by blood thirsty tigers, the UNF
government continues to mollycoddle them with the hope of achieving
its objectives through meeting the Tigers racist aspirations in full.
What else can you expect from a Government lead by the Three Blind Mice,
Ranil, Milinda and GL who are oblivious to reality as they are devoid
of any senses.
The Island recently reported that the Time Magazine had selected the
lead mouse, Ranil as an 'Asian Hero'. A more apt description of the
lead mouse would be the 'Asian Nero', as he continues to paly the fiddle
while his UNF ship sinks fast without a trace.
