"Unity is the strength" - SU & the Alliance - SU's integrity MUST be maintained!

SU/JHU must know understand the importance of political expediency now. This honesty, integrity ... are very fine words, but one should not be blind to reality. I am not even for a moment suggesting selling out honesty, integrity for political expediency. Our people, especially S/B should know to protect honesty and integrity while with other "dishonest" people (like a lotus shines in a muddy field). If they do not know that, honesty and integrity do not get us anywhere. At an individual level, in our own personal lives, we have to learn that. Otherwise, we cannot survive in bureaucratic, corporate, exploitative cultures. Similarly, as a group we have to know that for the group's survival. If we do not, consequences are very clear, what will be left for those who dream about honesty and integrity is to eat those words. The tragedy is their actions will have dire consequences for the whole nation.

As I maintained many times, that nothing happens in these countries w/o the interference of KMW (king makers of the world), I wonder what is the role of KMW in this 200+ priest saga. I hear many bath gottas (once, I was one of them!) have funded these activities via shady characters.

In any case, I am willing to believe that a great majority of the JSS and JHU is sincere about their thinking and actions. If JHU is going ahead with this plan, this is a request I have for them. Within the next two or three weeks, assess JHU's chances (apply this honesty thing, integrity thing and DON'T be ostriches). Any sane person with a little bit of intelligence can do this! If their chances are so bleak, please bow out. Withdraw from the contest and declare support for the Alliance.

One good aspect is that JHU can force the Alliance to adopt JHU's positions, if JHU can make a significant headway. I hope someone is listening.

1. There is no longer an SU. That is history. Now it is JHU.
2. Conditional support to SLFP-JVP will not affect JHU. In fact it will help JHU in the selected districts that it will contest.
3. Supporting another party will not kill anothe party, unless, the second party has all kinds of other hidden agendas including ego.
