IN THE NAME OF LORD BUDDHA.................

Sri lanka Supreme court chaired by 5 judges has rendered their judgement
against former Samurdi minister S.B.Dissanayake for defaming and insulting
the country's independent Supreme court and the legal system. According
to the constitution and the law no one can challenge the Supreme Court's
decisions. Some politicians using buddhist monks and trying to challenge
the supreme court and begging signatures from temples to temples and
Asgiriya to Malwatte.
Thanks to the most Ven.Tibbotuwawe Sri Siddartha Sumangala Mahanayake
Thera of the Malwatte maha Vihara chapter declined to sign the petition
requesting former minister S.B.Dissanayake be released. He has already
adviced them that " we should not interfere with the independent
justice system and that decision should be accepted without trying to
give a political face to it means we are degrading our own judiciary. There
should be a law in a country and all should be abide by that law."
Dispite his advice some monks are trying to get signatures from temples
to temples on behalf of politicians.
These Buddhist monks who are running around with a petition should realise
that they are making a big mistake taking a political side on this matter.
These buddhist monks are trying to divide the Sinhalese Buddhist nation
and if this happens they should be get ready to pay for the damage there
after. Don't mix up the religion and the politics. It is more danger
than a bomb. Most of the buddhists in Sri Lanka seems to be very unhappy
over this matter and it could lead to a boycott of buddhist temples,
disrespect to buddhist monks and even buddhists could refuse to offer
"DANA" to them.
Today there is a big threat to our nation, to our country's soverinity
and integrity from Terrorists. Are you ready to come out from the temples
and safeguard our country? These monks doesn't talk a word about it.
But for political matters they are ready to walk from Hanguraketa to
Colombo.
We Sinhalese are politically divided and religiously divided. As buddhist
monks their prime duty is to unite the Sinhalese nation and not to divide.
As a Buddhist, I would like to say one thing to these buddhist monks
who are trying to challenge the supreme court on behalf of some political
leaders, "IN THE NAME OF LORD BUDDHA, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM UNWANTED
POLITICAL INTERFERENCES AND TRY TO RE UNITE THE SINHALESE NATION TO
SAFE GUARD OUR COUNTRY FROM TERRORISTS." It will help you all to
go to nibbana.
