Unethical conversions

From: MATTHEW T FURAN

As a fundamental Christian, I believe that the greatest command our Lord gave us is the command to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. If one is to be true to God, they must evangelize.

But at the same time, I believe it is very wrong for churches to pay and induce someone to convert. It must be a decison based only upon that individual.

For Sri Lanka Buddhist to say that there can be no evangleization to convert, they are saying that they are not democratic.

The attitude is be a Christian, but do not tell about your beliefs. I guess if a country does not mind being led by a dictator, it would be o.k.

Many organizations that have compelled people to convert through money and so forth have caused true Christians to have a bad testimony. A little leaven, leaveneth the whole lump.

I am ashamed that things like this is going on. There are true Christians in Sri Lanka that desire only good things for the people.

Please do not categorize all Christians as being fakes and liars.
