Mahinda's Victory is the
People's Victory

Before I congratulate the Executive President I would like to take
the opportunity to thank the people of Sri Lanka who knew HE Mahinda
Rajapakshe is the only suitable candidate to save our country from a
crisis of ethnic violence which started during the time of the UNP.
Mr President you did it and the Almighty will shower blessings on you
to march towards a united Sri Lanka.
In regard to an interview in the Sunday Times dated July 30th 2000
of Ex IPKF General Ashok Mehta under the headlines INDIA SHOULD HELP
LANKA IN EVERY WAY. When he was asked what went wrong with the IPKF
in Sri Lanka, the answer was nothing went wrong until Premadasa crossed
over and joined the LTTE. This what Sajith's father did for the country.
General Mehta also said there is hope for peace. The UNP was helping
the LTTE for decades and now its Ranil but this election made it clear
to Ranil that the LTTE did not want him to be the next President due
to the double standard the UNP and Ranil was taking.
Ranil a hardcore of the LTTE wanted to get the Sinhalese votes he in
the eleventh hour he played a dirty role by telling his closed collegue
Milinda Moragoda to attack on the LTTE so that the Majority Sinhalese
will vote for him but it turned bitter. The UNP taught the Sinhalese
masses are stupid. The LTTE promised that they will not interfere with
the elections but they changed their stand overnight due to Ranil's
hypocrisy . Ranil not only betrayed Sinhalese, Muslims, Tamil, Burgers
but even the LTTE.
Most of the senior UNP member of Parliaments also lost their seat,
stalwarts like Rajitha Senaratne, Mahinda Samarasinghe, G.L Peiris,
Jayalath Jayawardena, Joseph Micheal Perera, Mahinda Wijesekera and
so on. Will their be a reshuffle in the UNP including a new leadership
which can get the party re organized. Is Ranil ready to leave Sri Kotha
and he can enter the genius books of records as the highest lost election
in the history,
What happened to Rs 150 million given to Thonda and other benefits
given to Rauf Hakeem. This is a good lesson to the minorities, who followed
their leaders who never thought about the future of the community. I
appeal to Thonda and Hakeem not to betray the community for your personnel
gain . I ask the Bribery Commissioner to look into the assets of Thondaman
and Rauf Hakeem.. Their assets should be declared at the earliest.We
should not take Thondaman to the government he is not for the minority,
Hon Douglas Devanada is enough to represent the Tamil minorities. Who
is a sincere and loyal to the community.
I appeal to all UNP members of Parliament to work with our President
for the betterment of our blessed Mother Lanka. Treat our Mother Country
like you own Mother then we will never go wrong.
It brought to my notice that the LTTE is collecting money from all
Tamil nationals
a sum of Canadian $ 2500.00 for a period of three years and it will
be return in 3 years with interest. They are been informed that the
money is for the war. The LTTE is just wasting time negotiations for
peace and build up there army to attack Sri Lanka. I also request the
government of Sri Lanka should tell the Canadian Government to stop
all activities including using Television air time to televise the speech
of a brutal murderer Prabhakaran on Mahaviran day.
If the govt of Canada could televise Terrorist Leader's speech they
should give air time to Bin Ladin's speech too.
Our President wants to sincerely bring Peace to our blessed motherland
and this is the last golden opportunity the LTTE could work if they
are concern about the Tamil community.
