Dear Sri Lankan Cricket Enthusiasts,

We the Citizens of Sri Lanka are filing a case in the London Courts of Law and seek your assistance to engage the services of a Sri Lankan Solicitor practicing in London, to file and defend the Case on behalf of the Republic of Sri Lanka and bring the ICC World Cricket Cup 2007 back to Sri Lanka.

Plaintiff Common Cause alleges:


1. The jurisdiction of this Court is invoked pursuant to The Laws of Cricket 2000 Code 2 Ed. 2003.

2. Venue approximately lies in the London Courts of Law pursuant to the Laws of Cricket, as the copyrights are owned by its custodians the Marylebone Cricket Club, located in the United Kingdom. It is noted that the International Cricket Council, be named as the Defendant as the claim for disqualification from the World Cricket Cup 2007 arose in the State of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

3. We're Common Cause/Sri Lankans, the citizen Lobbyists and we speak up to you the International Cricket Council on the issue you care most deeply the 'Spirit of the Cricket game' , and we speak up for unfair play and/or cheating, by Adam Gilchrist the opening batsman for Australia admitting to the correspondent at Bridgetown, Saturday, AFP that he concealed a squash ball inside his bottom hand glove, considered as an unauthorised/illegal practice, resulting in a catapulting and/or bionic effect on the cricket ball.

4. Common Cause/Sri Lanka is a non-partisan, non-profit citizen lobby and a leading force in the battle for honest, fair play, accountability and Code of ethics by the International Cricket Council.

5. Prasanna de Silva, a Common Cause Sri Lanka has an electronic web site for protest 'Gilchrist illegal action to ICC'. As of now 7,000
Petitioners have signed.

This will be followed by General Allegations; Claims against ICC, the Umpires and the Australia Cricket Captain; and the Prayer

Subject: Assistance requested from Cricket Enthusiasts:

i. Names of Solicitor and/or Solicitors (Sri Lankan's) practicing in
UK; who are prepared to present and defend the case.
ii. The Plaintiff are represented by 'Common Cause' and the Defendant-President ICC
iii Does the Solicitor in London require a junior from Sri Lanka?
iv The Plaintiff Common Cause will write the draft of the
General Allegations; Claims; and the Prayer against the
Defendants.
v. The 'Prayer' is for damages of US$ 100.0 million from the Defendants or any sum the solicitors seem reasonable.
vi The Solicitors are retained on a contingency basis ranging between
15 to 30% of the damages awarded.
vii The Plaintiff Common Cause will use the balance of the damages
award to build a Hospital in a remote village in the country.
viii The Solicitor's are retained on a contingency contact agreement,
and are paid a minimum fee for administration costs
In this case the Solicitors being Sri Lankans and domiciled in
London are fighting this case in the interests of their Country and
may only settle of a percentage of the damages award. If
they do demand a fee, please find out the amount they require up
front.
