5 nominated short films

We are proud to announce the winning 5 short films of the Bonjour Cinéma 2007. The prominence of the festival is given to Short Films this year : a Competition of Short Films was organized, thus giving the opportunity for the emerging Sri Lankan directors to present their talent. The short films were selected by a jury comprising Sri Lankan and Foreign professionals in the industry.

The 5 nominated films and the directors are:

2. "Seruppu" Kowthaman Karunanithi
3. "Under pressure" Kasinathar Gnanadas
4. "My family" Shashini Ruwanthi Gamage
5. "Error on born" P.W.G.T Dewaka Pahalawatta

The above winning short films will be screened at 7.00 p.m of each day of the film festival before the screening of the foreign film at the B.M.I.C.H cinema hall. The Best Short Film selected from the five nominated will be presented an award on the 20th March during the Gala evening.

BONJOUR CINEMA! is a joint cultural event organized by the Consulate of Belgium, the High Commission of Canada, the Embassy of France, the Embassy of Romania, the Embassy of Switzerland, the National Film Corporation, in association with the Sri Lanka Tourist Board and media sponsors MTV-MBC Networks. Our aim is to offer the Sri Lankan public a collection of films that represents the richness and the diversity of the cinema industries of the French speaking countries represented in Sri Lanka.
