BONJOUR CINÉMA 2007
The Short Film Competition

As in every year the French speaking countries represented in Sri Lanka (France, Belgium, Canada, Romania and Switzerland) are organizing "BONJOUR CINÉMA 2007", the Film Festival of the French Speaking Countries. At a time when the Sri lankan cinema industry is celebrating its 60th birthday, Bonjour Cinéma 2007 will give a great opportunity to young Sri Lankan directors to participate in a high calibre Short Film Competition and to thrive the horizons in the Sri Lankan and the international film industries.

This competition of young and up-coming, talented Sri Lankan film directors will not only enrich the cultural ties between Sri Lanka and the Francophony world but also create a promising future to the Sri Lankan film industry. The short films will be selected by a jury comprising of Sri Lankan and Foreign specialists in the industry and the 5 winning films will be screened each day of the film festival, the best film will be awarded.

A special meeting will be organised at the Alliance française auditorium on Wednesday 31st January, 3pm in order to present the Festival and the Short Film Competition to those who are willing to participate in the competition.
