Nationalism & Racism

Anura Seneviratna.

Nation and race are completely misquoted and ill-defined by the past rulers in their vested interest to extinct the nation of Hela/Sinhela and the island country to suffer invasion at the hands of the non indigenous Tamil minority. This is a major crime perpetrated against the Hela nation to psychologically condition negatively so that the awareness of their right of sovereign nationhood will disappear from their minds. This lack of awareness soon settled them involuntarily into a mere community identity along with the non indigenous minorities.

No one opposed to this blatant crime of attempt to destroy the indigenous heritage because Hela nation had no reason to suspect the rulers as they were supposedly “Sinhela leaders”, and it is impossible to imagine they would do anything detrimental to their own nation of people and the national motherland. Inability to identify that most of the past rulers were not our national leaders but impostors and our arch enemies is a fact that has not yet sunk in the minds of most of our people even today. In their tyrannical de-nationalisation programme against the Hela nation; the impact on the Hela psyche is an enormous distortion of truth and justice reducing them to just another community (only majority) with an extremely servile mindset.

Hela people were made to feel guilty, extremist, racist and chauvinistic, if ever they are to bring about national resurgence or defence of national sovereignty to their own tiny island motherland. This servile mindset and attitude of the Hela people boosted arrogance of the non indigenous minority of Tamil Nadu ethnic origin to openly germinate their alien-nationalism within Heladiva. This situation further enhanced by naming the country as “Sri Lanka” meaning a beautiful island, exposing the country as a land without a national owner, making it extremely vulnerable to fraudsters.

Apart from the crime of de-nationalising the Hela nation, the island country of Sri Lanka was portrayed to the Hela people as well as to the world as a country with different communities devoid of a single nationhood, which is opposite to the concept of sovereign nationhood. However, Sri Lanka was called a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, multi-lingual, multi-religious country, a model of indigenous national sovereign country which does not exist anywhere else in this world. Unofficially, most national societies have a mingling of non indigenous ethnic communities hence a touch of multiculturalism. “Multi” which will lead to Multi-sovereignties” is justifiable ONLY if the island is composed of migrants without an indigenous nation of people. Yet, the blatant truth is that only the Hela people are the indigenous nation of people, while Tamils are from the land of Tamil Nadu (Tamil Country) origin, whose Tamil national rights will only prevail there! The only minority who have a legitimate NATIONAL right if so wish are the Vedi generation as they are indigenous and from the earliest Hela stock.

Throughout media, books, magazines, articles and all forms of communication, especially within the Sri Lanka name boarded Heladiva: Nation & Race are misrepresented hence misunderstood. This is the power of negative psychological conditioning at work and sharks of all sorts of alien intentions at work while perking some naive Sinhelas too.

It is profoundly vital to contemplate that a “country” has evolved with the birth of a “nation” of people and hence, world is separated into a fabric of national and cultural diversity. This makes the world a very interesting place unlike one world with homogeneous humanity all speaking one language and having one culture. Nation has evolved from a “race” of people with the same culture and language that lived in a certain area of earth. Gradually, this area became a separate country with an independent political infrastructure. Later, due to migrations non indigenous people settled down in these established countries merging with the people of the host country. The “race” which originally initiated one country became a single “nation” in which migrants have merged as one nation of people upholding a national sovereignty. Diversity of nations and cultures exist in the world as separate countries enjoying their independence. Some indigenous nations have suffered invasions and massacres and ended up marginalised in their own lands.

Today the indigenous nation of Helas in their tiny sovereign island country are threatened by a section of the non indigenous minority, attempting to transform it into a second Tamil Nadu and the genocide of the Hela nation. What should have happened is for the Tamil community to merge with the Hela nation into a single nationhood within Heladiva. Those Tamils who desire to fulfil Tamil national aspirations and self determination will have to return to the land of Tamil national origin of Tamil Nadu.

As a result of systematic campaign of brainwashing against the Hela nation, they were confused with nation and race to be one. Most people today, whenever they hear of Hela/Sinhela, it gives them the notion of racist or something evil or blames it as the cause for the conflict in the country. Little aware that it is the absence of upholding Hela sovereignty that became the cause of this conflict. In fact, the conflict is nothing other than the National Problem of the Hela nation. It takes a moment to ponder that it is nationalism the fundamental building blocks of a country and a very wholesome entity. At the same time it is paramount this nationalism lives ONLY within the periphery of that particular country. If some people of this same nation decide to settle down in another national country; they become a non indigenous ethnic minority but has the right to become naturalised citizens of the new country within the single nationhood. Here, the act of diversity is a cardinal duty of the minorities to diversify with the host nation nourishing it than negating it. This humane and refined manner will allow all nations and cultures to thrive and sustain in their individual worlds and no room for globalisation, which is sinister and destroys the inviolable sovereignty of a nation of people, the prime human right of a people.

If a nation discriminates a non indigenous minority as they are of a different race is racism. What is happening in Heladiva (Sri Lanka) is the opposite and worse where a part of the non indigenous Tamil minority is audaciously discriminating the host nation of Helas in an apartheid manner with the collusion of their kin of 70 million Tamil nation of Tamil Nadu next door, attempting to rob Heladiva for a second Tamil Nadu and the extinction of only 14 million Hela people in their tiny island. While nationalism is a wholesome mindful concept on which human civilization is built upon and racism is a negative attitude rests on physical identity alone.
